South Hampshire Jewish Communities Association
Trustees Annual report March 2024 - March 2025
The Association was set up to serve the social, cultural and educational needs of the local Jewish communities and the wider population of Hampshire.
It applied for incorporated charitable status in March 2024. This was granted in September 2024, with four trustees – Miriam Rose, Tony Kushner, Stephen Ferder and Anna Potten, with Miriam Rose as Chair.
Since then the trustees have met on three occasions until the end of March 2025. Three further trustees were appointed in March – Damian Gevertz, Danny Habel and Jackie Swabe. Damian was agreed as Treasurer, and Jackie as Secretary.
Damian was tasked with opening a bank account with three signatories suggested.
At this stage we looked forward to establishing a financial base, setting conditions for membership, and setting up a programme for 2025 -2026,with the first event taking place in January 2026.
