During the year one grant of £3,600 was made, p8id to Hillslde Animal Sanctuary.
The Charity's investment portfolio increased in value from £910.519 81 the end of the previous period lo
£1,041,126 at the year end.
Review of Flnancial Activities and Affairs
The attached accounts for the year ended 5th April 2026 show fu11 detai15 of all financial activities which the
¢harily has undertaken.

Reserves Policy
The Iruslees relain free reserves 81 minimal level. These reserves are sufficient to provide investment
income lo meet expected future grant payments.

The trustees have carried out a review of the major risks lo which the charity is exposed 2nd have
established prO￿dureS lor the review ané approval of all Iransaclions which are deemed adequate to
mitigate such risks.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
(a) Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charty's governing document. the
Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by Charrties.. Slalement of Recommended Practice
opplicable to charities preparing their accoun15 In 8¢cordance with the Financial Reporting Standards
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021° las amended for accounting per￿d commencing
from 1 St January 2016). The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
There are no material un¢ertainties regarding the charity's ability to continue as a going concern.
(b) Incomlng resources
All incoming resources are recognised once the charity has entitlement to the resources, it is certain that
the ￿SoUrceS will be received. and the moftetary value of incoming resources can be measured wth
sufficient Teli8bility.
(c) Re$ources expended
Liabilities 8re recognised as resources expended as soon as there Is a legal or constru¢tive obligation
ommitting the charity lo the expenditure. All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classified under headings that aggregate all costs related lo the category.
Grants payable are payments made to third parties in the fvrtherance of the charitable objects of the
trust. Grants are accounted for when either the recipient has a reasonable expe¢tation that they will
receive 8 grant 8nd the trustees have agreed lo pay the grant without condition. or the recipient has
rc8sor)0bl¢ ¢xpcctotion Ihot Ihey will reBÈivts a grant and any condition attg¢hin9 to the 9rant is outside
of the control of the trust.
Provisions for grants 8re made when the intention lo make 3 grant has been communicated lo the
recipient but there is uncertainty about either the timing ol the grant or the amount of 9rant payable.
