## **TRUSTEES REPORT** ## **01/09/25 TO 30/04/25** ## **Formally establishing AAA’s charitable status** AAA was registered with the Charity Commission on 24[th] September 2024 The Charity Commission can grant dispensation where publication of the names of any trustees of the charity, either now or in the future, could place those trustees in personal danger. On submitting relevant information to the Commission, it was agreed that the test for withholding names had been met. As such, trustee names have been withheld from this report and accounts as the Commission will not remove information before it is made available to the public online. ## **Business Update** The bank account with Natwest suffered many setbacks and delays to open, with various mistakes to the application process admitted by Natwest. As compensation for our bank account not being open until December ’24, they paid £250 into our account. AAA is now registered with HMRC so that we can claim gift aid on donations. We now have a Just Giving page and Just Giving send the gift aid through to us from donations on their site. Just Giving pays into our bank account once per week. We have set up a PayPal account and with this, a Zettle by PayPal account which allows us to pay into our account using contactless and mobile wallets. There are no monthly fees or contracts for this, but Zettle do charge 1.75% on all transactions. AAA is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as we hold personal data. This registration is a legal requirement for us under the Data Protection Act 2018 and costs us £40 per year. AAA is fully insured. Our policy includes Public & Products Liability up to £10million, Employers Liability up to £10million and Trustees & Directors Indemnity up to £1million. ## **Service Delivery** With thanks to AF for the loan, AAA have installed the Oasis data management system, a bespoke Domestic Abuse database. We have subscriptions for 10 users now. We now have 8 volunteers comprising of 2 x McKenzie friends, 2 x triage caseworkers, 2 x admin staff and 2 x caseworkers who are also McKenzie friends. Referrals are regularly coming through from CGL, probation and social services. Our average time from referral to court order is 4 days. ## **Fundraising** We have been approved for funding from Crowborough Town Council - £1600 Lionesses Paddock Wood donated £213 Our application to the East Sussex Police & Crimes Commissioner to join their Funding Network has been approved, we applied for grants above £50,000, however the next funding opportunities are not available until 2026.
