## **SCHOOL**

Dear Church members,

Please read school’s report below:

## SIAMS

We were recently inspected by SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) and we received an excellent report, a summary of which is below: This report evaluates Beeston Hill St Luke’s Church of England Primary School’s Christian vision, leadership, curriculum, worship, and community impact, highlighting strengths and development areas:

The school’s deeply embedded Christian vision of “going the extra mile” serves as the primary catalyst for its inclusive and caring culture, ensuring that both pupils and staff are supported to flourish. This ethos is rigorously upheld by leaders and governors, who align recruitment and resource allocation with these core values to maintain a positive school climate and high levels of staff well-being. While this vision is successfully reflected in the school’s diverse and innovative Religious Education and its wellstructured collective worship, the report notes that the impact of this Christian identity could be further deepened by more explicitly embedding spiritual reflection within the daily curriculum. Ultimately, the school's commitment to its vision is most evident in its harmonious environment and the pastoral support provided for pupils with SEND, though there remains an opportunity to further empower pupils to translate their understanding of justice into wider ethical advocacy beyond the school community. The full report can be found here:

## SIAMS Report

Extended wraparound care.

## **SCHOOL**

We now provide a comprehensive wraparound care designed to support working families while extending the school’s nurturing Christian ethos. The provision includes a Breakfast Club starting at 7:30 am. For afternoon care, the school has recently updated our offer (since September 2025) to provide a safe and familiar environment managed by our own staff until 6:00 pm. Sarah Riley is our Wraparound Care Manager supported by Clare Northveth and Sonia Moorhouse. The wraparound care provides an opportunity for play and creative arts along with homework support where needed. The children are provided with a nutritious light snack. This has been a really popular service for our children and families.

Sonia Moorhouse, Sarah Riley, Clare Northveth.

## Trips and visitors

We are proud to offer an enriched curriculum that extends learning through diverse trips and visitors. Highlights include residentials for Year 5 and Year 6, as well as memorable experiences such as farm visits, the Royal Armouries, and on-site Ancient Egyptian workshops. Reflecting the SIAMS report's recognition of RE as a core strength, pupils also visit various local places of worship, including a synagogue, a Gurdwara, and St Luke’s Church.

## A thank you to governors.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the school governors and Alistair for all of their support and contributions.

Clergy visit to school

While church flooring repairs are ongoing, the school has welcomed clergy to lead main services on-site. Although these visits are highly valued, the school looks forward to returning to St Luke’s Church to restore the full worship experience for the children.

We continue to thank church members for their prayer ministry over school and ask that you continue to uphold our pupils and staff in your prayers.

May God bless you.
