The ongoing war in Sudan has left many dialysis centres destroyed, damaged, or abandoned, and the remaining centres are struggling with insufficient resources. This report provides a brief highlight of the activities for the year Apr-2024 to Mar 2025 and gives an Annual Account Summary. 2. Over the past year, in response to the w8r, we have been working to support the rem8ining operational dialysis ¢entre$ by supplying them with dialysis machines, medic8tions, and Supplies. March 2024-founded in Coventry, UK. Aug 2024- Purchase and delivery of 400 Kidney Dialysis kits to El Damer Hospital, River Nile State, Sudan. Sep 2024- Officially registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, Docember 2024- 400 kits to Shendi Hospital in River Nile state and 400 kits were sent to Sh8basha Hospital in White Nile state. January 2025- Purchase of 2 kidney dialysis machines, to be shipped to El Damer Kidney Dialysis Centre. Sudan. The Need for Kidneycare in Sudan The conflict in Sudan, which has been ongoing for more than two years, has caused widespread destruction to healthcare infrastructure, including dialysis centres. Many centres have been destroyed or forced to shut down due to the war, while others remain severely underfunded and Suthn Kldn•yAld lacking essential resources. Over 70% of dialysis patients experienced treatment interruptions and 570/0 cannot maintain their regular. life-s8ving sessions. because of the war,. Key challenges include: Destruction and Abandonment- Many dialysis centres have been bombed, damaged, or abandoned. leaving thousands of patients without access to Care. Lack of Equipment and Supplies= The few remaining Centres are struggling to provide adequate care due to a lack of functional dialysis machines, essential medications, and medical disposables. Increased Demand: The ongoing conflict has also led to an increase in kidney-related diseases due to stress, malnutrition, and lack of medical care, exacerbating the pressure on the already limited dialysis centres. Our target group includes.. Kidney patients who rely on dialysis but have been unable to access care due to damaged centres and lack of resources. Dialysis centres that are struggling to provide services but lack the necessary equipment and medications to treat patients. 4. Our Programs and Services 1. Providing Dialysis Machin8S: We have been working to replace destroyed or damaged dialysis machines in Sudan. This equipment is crucial for ensuring that patients have access to the treatment they need to survive. The conflict has made it difficult to import new machines. but with extern81 support. we aim to continue to provide machines to the dialysis ¢entres we support. 2. Supplying CritiGal MediGations= We ensure that patients receive essential medications, such as erythropoietin, immunosuppressants, and antihypertensives. These medications are vital for kidney disease management and preventing life-threatening complications. 3. Supplying Disposable Medicalsupplies: We provide dialysis centres with the necessary disposable supplies, including dialyzers, tubing, needles, and gloves. Sustainability and Future Plan To ensure the long-term success of our programs, we are committed to- Building Local Partnerships.. We work closely with local hospitals and clinic8 to ensure the efficient use of resources 8nd integrate our support into existing healthcare systems. Ongoing Fundraising: We will continue to engage in fundraising efforts, including local and international campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and partnerships with other healthcare organizations. Advocacyfor National Health Programs: We advocate for increased government and international support for kidney disease care in Sudan, with a focus on rebuilding the healthcare infrastructure and supporting long-term treatment options for patients. Restoring and Rebuilding Dialysis Inf rastructure.. In addition to supplying machines and medications, in the future we lookingto help rebuild damaged dialysis centres and support the restoration of essential services in war-affected areas. We also aim to organize training sessions for local healthcare workers to improve their ability to operate dialysis machines and manage kidney disease patients effectively.
