## **TRUSTEES REPORT FRIENDS OF ST EWE CHURCH CIO PERIOD 6 AUGUST 2024 TO 31 AUGUST 2025** 

The Trustees present their report and income and expenditure account for the period to 31[st] August 2025. 

## **Structure, governance and management** 

The CIO was established on 6[th] August 2024. 

The trustees who served during the period were: S Hawken:  Chair 

C Bool 

S Rowland-Jones 

E Sibley J Webb 

Trustees are appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. 

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Friends of St Ewe Church is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. 

None of the trustees have been paid any remuneration or received any other benefits from the charity 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The charity’s objects are to promote and assist in the care, maintenance and preservation of the fabric, fittings, ornaments, furnishings and bells of the church of St Ewe together with the maintenance and preservation of the churchyard which surrounds it for the benefit of the public and future generations of the local community. 

The Friends of St Ewe Church have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the Friends 0f St Ewe Church should undertake. 

## **Achievements and performance** 

The trustees organised various events in the period which were centred around bringing more visitors to the church and were encouraged by the support shown by the local community for these. 

## **Financial review** 

Donations of £5,044 were received in the period and net income was £4,537.  These funds will be applied to projects considered worthwhile by the trustees as the need for expenditure on the church arises.
