## **2024-25 Report of the Trustees**

## **Objectives**

The trustees of the Kevin Campbell Foundation (the KCF) are pleased to present their annual report and return for the period ended 30 June 2025, in relation to its charitable objectives:

1. To advance in life and relieve needs of children and young people through the provision or funding of support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to realise their full potential and participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.

2. To relieve the needs of adults who are in need by reason of their age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances by providing support and activities that develop their skills, capacities and capabilities.

## **Achieving the Objectives**

The KCF raised funds through a combination of online and in-person campaigns and events, which generated individual and corporate donations, as well as sales of tickets and merchandise.

Towards achievement of its charitable objectives, the KCF concentrated on building and creating effective partnerships with delivery agents to enable our future work. Those agents include Arsenal FC in the Community, the London Youth Games and Lambeth Council.

The KCF is in a strong position financially and reputationally to advance its delivery of the charitable objects.

## **Financial Overview**

Income received in the period ended 30 June 2025 was £39,745 (of which £10,000 was restricted), while payments were £3,847, hence generating a net surplus of £35,938, which equals the cash funds at the end of the period.

No remuneration was paid to any trustee and only expenses were reimbursed to L Campbell (£1,039) and G King (£298), in appreciation of each trustee making payments on behalf of the KCF.

Due to the receipt of income being largely dependent upon campaigns and events, it is the goal of the KCF to retain enough funds to cover the cost of the same level of campaigns and events in the next 12 months, in order to fundraise for the delivery of its charitable objects.

## **Structure, Governance and Management**

The KCF was registered as a CIO on 20 September 2024. In accordance with its governing document, the trustees bring the skills, knowledge, experience and networks to provide core capabilities like campaigning and selecting partners to raise funds and deliver the charitable objects.

The trustees, all of whom served for the complete period, were: L Campbell G King C Brown.

## **Responsibilities of the Trustees**

The trustees are responsible for producing the trustees annual report and annual return of the KCF, in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP). Charity law requires the trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity, and its results for the year. In preparing these accounts, the trustees are required to select appropriate accounting policies and apply them consistently and make judgements that are reasonable and prudent. The trustees do not hold any funds or act as custodians of funds for other charities.

## **2024-25 Report of the Independent Examiner to the Trustees**

In line with our Letter of Engagement dated 15 December 2024, I report on the annual return of the Kevin Campbell Foundation (Charity Number: 1210140) for the period ended 30 June 2025.

## **Respective responsibilities and basis of this report**

As the Trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act), and therefore procured my independent examination.

I report on my examination of the accounts for the Kevin Campbell Foundation, as carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act. In carrying out my examination, I have followed all of the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Statement of the independent examiner**

I confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examination by being a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that, in any material respect, the:

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Signed for and on behalf of:
