The trustees confirmed that the annual report and financial of the charity comply with the current statutory requirements of the charity governing documents and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities' issued in March 2005. ## **APPOINTMENT OR ELECTION OF TRUSTEES** Trustees are elected and co-opted under the terms of the trust deed. ## **ORGANISATIONALSTRUCTURE AND DECISION MAKING** The charity is organized in such manner that permits the trustees to meet and manage its affairs. The Pastor in Charge manages the day-to-day administration of the church. ## **RELATED PARTY RELATIONSHIPS** The charity is a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) which has parishes all over the world. The charity's relationship with other RCCG parishes is governed by an Agreement for Common Purposes'. ## **PRINCIPAL FUNDING** Funding has been provided mainly through tithes and offerings by church members as well as gift aid. ## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** ## **Objectives and aims** The principal object of the trust is the advancement of Christian faith worldwide and propagating the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To fulfil its mission and positively impact the community, RCCG Living Praise Sunderland engaged with residents of Sunderland through the Six (6) house fellowship centers that have been established across the city to foster intimate connections within smaller groups. These gatherings provide opportunities for individuals to share faith, find encouragement, and draw strength from the Word of God. RCCG Living Praise Sunderland organised a variety of religious activities aimed at fostering spiritual growth, including Sunday worship services, midweek Bible teachings, prayer meetings, and faith-based seminars led by experienced ministers and speakers. . 4 of 5 ## THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG) LIVING PRAISE SUNDERLAND ## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT** ## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner** The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act)) and that an independent examination is needed. It is our responsibility to: - examine the accounts (under section 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Act); - to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act); and - To state whether matters have come to our attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner’s report** Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. ## **Independent examiner’s statement** In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention: - (1) Which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements, - to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act; and - To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act as amended.
