The trustses who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Aci 2006. present their report with
Ihe financial siatements of the charity for the period 7 February 2024 to ?8 February 2025. The trUs￿eS have adopted the
provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recomineiided Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Finan¢ial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland (FRS 102) (elyective l January 20191.
INCORPORATION
The chariiable company was incorporated on 7 February 2024.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

aviation, aerospace ai)d the sciet)ces, techi)ology, engineerit)g and matheinatics (STEM) disciplines, ii) such ways as the

qualitications, Ihe Charirv w'ill have a positive impact on broadening access to trdining and developmeni opportunities (o
those who would not othen+ise be able to afford to do 50.
The founder trustee's wide professional neN."ork in the aviation. gerospace and wider STEM industries will benefit
beneficiaries as it will enable the Charity 10 work M'ith high quality flying schools and other qualification providers,. the
Tru5tee5 will niaiiitaiii a list of approved trainin¥ providers M,hich tliey will keep under review.
Through its first year, tlie Charity has dedicated considerable time and effort in obtaining its regulatory approvals and
setting up its administration, operations and general infrasiructure, whilst developing the appropriate policies and
procedures commensurate with its size and activities. Development of its website and fund-raising agenda is ongoing,
and donations have already been received. This is expected to launch during 2025, and we would anticipate receiving
applications for scholarships an(Vor granis.
The TTU5tee5 would like to thank doiiors and those volunteers that have given their time and expert15e in facilitating the
Charity in its set-up and ongoing administration this year.

Charity Cornrni55ion registratlon
The charity, was formally regisiered with the Charity Commission in February 2024 under registration number 1210094.
This marked the official recogniiion of our charitable status ai)d ei)abled us to operate fully as a Charitable Company
Liinited by Guarantee. This included the creation of all supporting docuineiitation such as the Articles of Associatioii.
HMRC and Gift Aid registration
We succcssfully registCTcd ￿'1th HMRC for tax purposes, including Gift Aid, allowing the charity to reclaim tax on
eligible donations. This will enhance our fundraising effons and increase the value of public contributions.
Bank aecount set up with Barclays
A dedicated charity bank account was opened with Barclays to manage finances transparently and securely. This account
siipports proper financial gjovernaiice and enables effective day-to-day operations.
KBMD Limited Appointed Accountants
We appoit]ted KBMD Limited as our independent accountant5 to ensure professional financial oversight and compliallce
with statutory obligations. They also support the preparation of our annual accounts.
Policie5 for the Charity have been created
Key govemance and operational policies have been developed and adopted this year, including safeguarding, financial
controls. data protection, and conflict of interest policies, laying the foui)dation for responsible managenient and
compliance.
Webslte Development
Voluntcers supportcd the creation and ongoing maintenance of our website, ensuring it remained up-tfrdate,
user-friendly. and reflective of our mission and activities.
Social Media Setup and Management
VolUn￿erS were instrumental in establishing and managing our social Inedia presence ahead of 'go live
creatin(T content to be posted for engagement across platfornis to raise awareness and reach wider audiences.

Volunteer5 Colltributed to shaping the foundation's brand identity, helping develop marketing materials and outreach
strategies that align with our values and objectives.
Due Diligence Procedures
Volunteers also supponed the development of due diligence frameworks and procedures, helping us build robust
processes to asses5 and monitor parti)ers, grantees, and activities.
Team Collaboration
Volunteer5 participated in M'eekly all-team meetings as well a5 regular department-5pecific ineetings, f05tering strong
internal Communication, collaboration, and progres% tracking across all areas of the charity's work.
We are incredibly grateful for the time. skills, and commirmeni of our volunteers: whose contributions have laid a strong
foundation for our future growth diid impitLt.
Public benefit
The tru5tee5 confiTm that they have complied witli the Tequirement5 of sectioii 17 of the Charities Act 201 I to have due
regard ro the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

STRUCTVRE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing documcnt
The charity is controlled b), its governing document, a deed of trnst, and constitutes a liinited company, liinited by
guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.
The Charity by its trustees ensures that decisions are made in accordance with its governing document and aligned with
its stated charitable objectives as well gs ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal obliggtions. Professionals are
instructed as and wl)en deemed appropriate to support the Charity and Trustees. for example solicitors and accounthnts.

framework for these decisions, reinforcing a comtniiment to integrity, accountabilitv. and effective stewardship.

were adopied upon incorporaiion and sei out the charity's objectives, powers. and administrative arrangements.
The goveTninuF document outliiies the procedure5 for appointing and removing trllstees, the roles and responsibilities of
the board, and the strncture through which the charity opcrates. As a charitsble ¢ompany, it is also registered with
Companies House and subject to companj, law as well as chariiy law.

Committees are.. Operaiional. Social Media and Governance. The structure provides for more focused discussion on

Decision making
The trustees are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the charity. The board meets monthly to review
progress, assess risks, and make key decisions. Day-ifrdasw operations are delegated to volunieers and working groups,
ho report back to the trustees. Where neLessary. decisions are infonned by specialist advisors ai)d aligned with the
charity's goveniing document and policies. All triistees declare any potential conflicts of interest which are managed in
line with our conflict of interest policy.
Risk management
The trusiees have a dutv to identif5w and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate

As the charity's trustees of the Compgny land also its directors for the purposes of company law} you are responsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance wilh the requiremenis of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Aci'l.
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act
and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examinaiion of Jour charity's accounts as carried

ACCOUNTING POLICIES

The financial statements of the charitable company. M,hich is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance w'ith the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Ststement
of Recomineiided Practice applicable to charities preparing their account5 iii accordance widi tl)e Fit]ancial
Reponing Stsndgrd applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) (effective l January 2019).,
Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporiing Standard applicable in the UK ai)d Republic ol.
Ireland, and the Companie5 Act 2006. The financial statetnents have been prepared under the historical cost
convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to rhe funds, it
is pn)bable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as sotsn as there is a legal or constructive obligation cominitting the
charity to that expeiiditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic beiiefits will be reqiiired in 5ettlenient and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expendiiure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannoi be directly
attributed to particular headit]gs the), have been allocated to activities on a basis consisteiit with the use of
resources.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporaiion tax on its charitable activiiies.
Fund accounting
Unrestricied funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the irusrees.
Restricted funds can onlv be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restri¢tions
arise w,hen specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
