The charity operates a food bank, providing people in crisis with emergency food plus support to ensure they get the help they need to address their underlying cause of crisis. It also facilitates the provision of meals in school holidays to families that normally benefit from free school meals. It also acts to raise awareness about poverty and to influence positive change in the local community.

Objects: 1. The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty In Lowestoft And The Surrounding Areas Or Such Wider Area As May Seem Appropriate From Time To Time By Providing Grants, Items And Services To Individuals In Need And/or Charities, Or Other Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty And In Particular, But Not Exclusively, By Providing Food And Help To Those In Crisis Including Signposting To Other Agencies.2. To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society, By Providing Them With Safe And Reliable One-To-One Social Contact Including, But Not Limited To, Home Visits And Accompanied Walks. For The Purpose Of This Clause ?Socially Excluded? Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental); Substance Abuse Or Dependency Including Alcohol And Drugs; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Sex, Race, Disability, Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief, Creed, Sexual Orientation Or Gender Re-Assignment; Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown; Poor Housing (That Is Housing That Does Not Meet Basic Habitable Standards; Crime (Either As A Victim Of Crime Or As An Offender Rehabilitating Into Society).
