## Rivers of Mercy Annual Report 

September 2024 – March 2025 

_Rivers of Mercy was formed in February 2024 and became a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) under the same name, being registered with the Charity Commission on 4 September 2024. The first reporting period is from 22 February 2024 to 31 March 2025._ 

## Objectives and activities 

The objectives of the charity are: 

- 1) The advancement of health and the saving of lives in Palestine, in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, by: 

   - a) The provision of medical aid, including the provision of medical equipment, supplies, goods, services, facilities, and financial aid, necessary for the provision of medical treatment and rehabilitation for those who are victims of war, armed conflict, natural disaster or catastrophe. 

   - b) Delivering or facilitating training for medical and other healthcare professionals working, or intending to work, in Palestine; and 

   - c) Supporting and facilitating the reconstruction of existing (and the development of new) hospitals and other medical and healthcare facilities and infrastructure in Palestine. 

- 2) The relief and assistance of people in need in Palestine by the provision of humanitarian aid or by such other charitable means as the trustees consider necessary. 

## Public benefit 

Rivers of Mercy is a charity, thus a public benefit entity and the trustees confirm that they have referred to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's aims and objectives. Main activities undertaken during the year contribute to the charity's purpose for the public benefit. 

## Summary of key achievements during the year. 

The Rivers of Mercy Jericho Clinic, serving a total of 6806 unique patients 

- 85 Patients receiving Comprehensive psychological support that focuses on diagnostic assessments, behavioural therapy, and mental health programs 

- 620 Home visits conducted 

Aims to deliver care to homebound elderly, disabled and chronically ill patients, integrating physical and mental health support.

- 1950 people participated in health promotion events providing free community outreach services, including diabetes screenings, school health programs, and essential medical care for underserved areas. 

- 176 people received Wound care and Nursing 

- 553 mothers and women received comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care, highrisk pregnancy management, and advanced foetal monitoring (Ultrasound) and Gynaecology consultations. 

- 200 breastfeeding mothers received food parcels in Gaza. 

## Planned activities and priorities for the next year. 

- Aim to deliver care to homebound elderly, disabled and chronically ill patients, integrating physical and mental health support. 

- Continue to collaborate with international NGOs and humanitarian groups to expand our reach and amplify our impact. These partnerships will be especially critical in supporting medical responses linked to Gaza.
