We share a deep passion for making a positive difference in our local communities and offering hope to families who need it most. We wanted to do more than have good intentions — we wanted to create real impact and truly help those who need it. Care Packs aims to bring people together, by harnessing our network to demonstrate that when we act with purpose, we can change lives. ## **The Need** **In the UK, around 4.5 million children live in poverty, and 3.1 million of them are in deep poverty, surviving on less than half the average household income after housing costs.** Families with babies and young children are among the hardest hit by poverty in the UK. Almost half of all children living in poverty (48%) are in families where the youngest child is under five, meaning the earliest years of life – when children are most vulnerable – are also the most deprived. The pressures are greatest for families already facing disadvantage: 72% of children in poverty live in working families. 44% live in households affected by disability. 43% of children in lone-parent families grow up in poverty. For parents of babies and toddlers, this means even the most basic care items can become unaffordable. Nappies, wipes, shampoo and lotion are not luxuries — they are essentials that protect children’s health, dignity and wellbeing. **----- Start of picture text -----**
What We Do
At Care Packs, we provide baby packs filled with vital hygiene items — including; wipes, lotion, shampoo, cotton pads,
nappy bags and sponges — we ensure that families can meet their children’s most basic needs with dignity.
We use our network of corporate organisations to donate and help us to build the Care Packs. We then partner with Local
Authorities to distribute the care packs to families via their hubs and partners.
