Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing thelr accounts in accordance with
the Financial Reportlng Standard applicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective I
January 20191.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The objectlve of the charity are:
the advancement and promotion of the educatlon of young people through the provislon
of, or asslstlng wlth, the provision of, facilitles, support, education, advice and financial
assistance to individua15 and organlsations.
the advancement of the conservatlon, protection and improvement of the physical and
natural environment; and
such other charitable purposes as the Trustees may declde.

The trust provides funds to chosen beneflclarles In line with the objective5 of the charity.
Public benefit
The trijstees confirm that they have had regard to the guldance contained in the Charlty Comm155ion's
general guidance on publlc benefi't when reviewlng the objertive and aims of the charity.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserve5 policy
the reserves policy of the charlty Is to hold sufficient reserves to maintain the future establishwent and
development of the trust.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is controlled by Its governlng document, a deed of trust and constitutes an unincorporated
charity.
The charity is governed by a trust deed that was adopted l May 2024.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
New Trustees are appolnted accordance with the guidelines laid down in the Declaration of Trust.
Organi5ational structure
Due to the sI2e of the charlty, the Trustees fomi the management team and are responsible for the day
to day running of the charity. The investments held by the trust are managed externally by Cazenove
Capltal Management Limited.
Risk management
The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure
appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

Independent examlner's report to the trustees of The Greener Paterson Charltable Trust
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Greener Paterson Charitable
Trust (the Trust) for the period l May 2024 to 5 April 2025.
Responslbilities and bas1$ of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are re5ponslble for the preparation of the accounts In accordance
with the requirements of the Charltles Act 2011 I'the Act,).
I report In respect of my examinatlon of the Trust's accounts carried out under Sectlon 145 of the Act
and in carryin9 Out my examlnation I have followed all applicable Directions glven by the Charity
Commission under Section 145(5)Ibl of the Art.

Since your charlty's gross income exceeded £250,000 your exarnlner must be a member of a listed body.
I can confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examlnation because l am a member of the Assoclatlon
of Chartered Certified Accountant5, which is one of the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to rny attention in
connection with the examination glvlng me cause to belleve that in any material respect..

the accounts do not accord with those records. or
the accounts do not comply wlth the applicable requirernents concerning the forrn and content of

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparlng the flnanclal statements
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance
with the Financial Aeporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021
(effective l January 20191,, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements
have been prepared under the hlstorical cost conventlon, with the exception of investments which
are included at market value, as modlfied by the revaluation of certaln a55ets.
Income
All income Is recognised In the Statement of Financial Activitie5 once the charity has entitlement to
the funds, It is probable that the income wlll be recelved and the amount can be measured
rellably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognlsed a5 expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the charity to that expendltLJre, it 15 probable that a transfer of economic benefits will
be required in settlement and the arnount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure
is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all
cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they
have been allocated to activities on a basls consistent with the use of resources.
Taxatlon
The charlty is exempt from tax on Its charltab1e activltles.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used In accordance wlth the charitable objectives at the di5cretlon of the
trustee5.
Re5trlcted fund5 can only be used for particular restrlcted purposes within the objects of the
charity. Restrictions arise when specifled by the donor or when funds are raised for partlcular
restricted purposes.
