Structure, Governance and Management** The SEN Support Space is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered on 27 August 2024 and governed by its constitution dated 17 June 2024. Katy Folan resigned as a trustee and is now employed by the charity as Operations Coordinator. Sarah Pallas and Scott Hedley were appointed as trustees. The trustees are responsible for the strategic direction, governance and oversight of the charity. ## **3. Objectives and Activities** The charity promotes social inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and their families by providing inclusive activities, safe and supportive environments, and support for parents and carers. This is delivered through: - Inclusive activities and sessions - Safe, non-judgemental environments Support for parents and carers Community engagement and opportunities for connection ## **4. Achievements and Performance** During the period the charity delivered 28 inclusive sessions and activities, supported families within the local community, and continued to develop its provision. 425 children and young people attending our sessions. Outcomes included: - Improved social interaction Enhanced emotional regulation Increased support networks for families and carers Reduction of Social Isolation Total receipts for the period were £19,856. Total payments were £10,731. The resulting surplus for the period was £9,125. ## **5. Financial Review** Total receipts for the period were £19,856. Total payments were £10,731. The charity remains in a stable financial position and the trustees are satisfied that all funds have been applied in line with the charity’s objectives. Plans for the Future** Expand SEN support sessions Continue developing provision Increase access for families Secure additional funding to facilitate the above ## **10. A Thank You to our Funders** A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund for granting us £4,000 towards our Inclusive Recreation Project. £200 was gratefully received from the funeral of Brian Hodgson. Many Thanks to his family. Many Thanks to Boots for £500 received in Matched Funding. Thank You to KR Electrical for donating £300. And a big thank you to all our supporters, including those who ran the Great North Run to raise funds. ## **11. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities** The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
