## **Brief overview of Girl Up UK** Girl Up UK is a girl-led leadership development initiative. As an affiliate of Girl Up, Girl Up UK supports more than 60 Clubs across the UK. We deliver evidence-based leadership development training through our girl-led Clubs, programs, and events. As members of a global movement, Girl Up leaders are a force for social good — connected to a Community of their peers who are advocating for policy change and advancing gender justice. Our global headquarters was founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010. Girl Up UK welcomes girls and youth of all gender identities. Together, we are expanding girls’ skills, rights, and opportunities to lead, and changing the face of leadership for generations to come. ## **Our Vision, Our Mission** ## **Vision:** Girl Up UK envisions a more equitable and just world for girls and women, which benefits all people. ## **Mission:** Girl Up UK develops transformative leaders who advance gender justice worldwide. The current political and social environment has created a challenging environment for diversity focused organisations, including our own efforts at Girl Up UK. Equally with a shift in our affiliate global organisation Girl Up to sign a new partnership with Global Fund for Children we have recognised the need to prioritise this move for the next phase of Girl Up globally. Fundraising activities have been limited in our first year however we look to shift this focus in the following years. We are proud that despite the challenging and changing environment we have been able to continue the work of Girl Up UK, to support youth-led activities through our grassroots Girl Up clubs. Additionally, the support for club led activities has secured corporate partnership for the forthcoming year.
