Activities
Gig Night is a grass-roots youth music project based in Southampton. Gig Night provides a opportunity to create or join a band, perform as a solo artist, learn song-writing techniques and develop other skills required to deliver a live performance. Many of our acts go on to perform in the local live music scene.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:to Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of 18 Living In Southampton And Surrounding Areas By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organising Programmes Of Educational And Other Activities, Primarily Programmes That Provide Training In Live Musical Performance, Stagecraft And Production, As A Means Of:a. Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developing Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsible Individuals;b. Advancing Education;c. Relieving Unemployment.
