The trustees have, and will continue to have, due regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charities Commission. The main activity undertaken is fundraising in order to - Pay the regular costs of fostering a number of dogs in turkey - Support the local Turkish charity, PAWS Uzumlu. And, during the year we have raised almost £10,000 to support local street animals. The trustees view this as a success in our first year and in a challenging economic environment. In addition, we have received approval by HMRC to reclaim Gift Aid. We have been able to provide funds of almost £6000 to deliver our objectives and public benefit of supporting Uzumlu’s street animals. We have done this mainly by providing direct grants to the Turkish charity, PAWS Uzumlu and by directly funding foster fees for some dogs.
