## B. Structure, governance and management 

Old Street Band is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. It is governed by its constitution. New trustees are appointed by a resolution at a meeting of the trustees. 

## C. Objectives and activities 

The objective of Old Street Band is to promote, maintain, improve and advance education of the public, particularly by the production of educational performances and the encouragement of the Arts including the arts of drama, ballet, music, and singing. 

These objectives will be met by live performances of early music with musicians skilled in the playing of period instruments. 

Our project currently in planning is a live performance of Ferrandini’s _Il Pianto di Maria_ in a double-bill with Handel’s _Donna che in ciel di tante luce splende_ , with an ensemble of up to 21 players, two singers, and a local choir. The performance will feature a beautiful film made by Rebecca Van Beeck, featuring a remarkable collage of found and created images of mothers and sons. 

We are developing partnerships and researching venues that will complement the live music and projected film and reach as wide an audience as possible. 

The trustees declare that in considering these plans they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

## D. Achievements and performance 

While awaiting funds in this financial period, Old Street Band has focused on plans and administrative tasks. No activities were undertaken other than: 

- Establishing administrative arrangements, including setting up a bank account and registering with HMRC. 

- Conducting three trustee meetings, with the earliest centred on determining and agreeing the nature and structure of Old Street Band, and subsequent meetings focused on planning performances and strategies for fundraising. 

- Engaging in discussions with several potential partners to explore collaboration opportunities. 

## E. Financial review 

While awaiting funds, there is currently no policy in place on reserves. During this financial period there was no income nor expenditure.
