In order to assist you in fulfilling your responsibilities as trustees, we have prepared the financial statements of Katkinz Happy Pawz Rescue for the year ended 24 May 2025 for your approval, set out on pages 5 to 9 from the charity's accounting records and from information and explanations you have provided us.

This report is made solely to the trustees of Katkinz Happy Pawz Rescue as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Katkinz Happy Pawz Rescue and state those matters that we have agreed to state to them, as a body, in this report in accordance with the requirements of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as detailed at extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Katkinz Happy Pawz Rescue to the fullest and its trustees as a body for our work or for this report.

1 Accounting policies
1.1 Basis of preparation
These financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) and applicable UK accounting standards.
1.2 Income recognition
Income is recognised when the charity is entitled to it, receipt is probable, and the amount can be measured reliably.
1.3 Funds Note
The charity holds unrestrictred funds to support its general operations.
Any restricted funds are used in accordance with the specific conditions imposed by donors

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 24/05/2025.
Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
