Teaching at St Mlcha8ls School NJdbwm8 and St Johns M8rllJorough
through Adboume Bands Support brass ensembles. This gives thildren
at tho local school's opportunhy to experience leaming a musical
instrument ￿ere previously thls would not be availabl8. Thls has
resulted in 11 of those players belng Involved in the Youth Band of
Jdboume Band. These players tr￿k part In F8t8s and Concerts through

Aldboume Band won the Championship Section al the West of England
Brass Band champi(￿ShIps, a prestigious regional cont88t held in
Torquay.
Th8ir perf0rnan￿ of Diversions by Derek Bourgeois was highly praised
by adjudicators for being "musical. masterful, ar¥J breath-taking..
This victory means the band will go on to compete at the Natlonal Flnals
at the Royal Albert Hall later in the year.
Strong Finish at the 2025 British Open Championship
At one of the UKS elite brass band (¥Jrrtests. Aldboume aGhl8ved an
Impresslve 5th place. finishing ahead of many other leading bands.
The perfomiance ￿￿S hlghllghted by adjudicators as"a fine perfonnance
by an exc8llent band" underlining the band's elevated competitive
standard.

Wodd Premiere & Special Perfotrnances of The Armed Man
In 2025 AJdtK)ume Band was Se18C￿ to tak8 part in malor perfomiancos
of Sir Karl Jenkins. The Armed Man: A Mass Peace, arrangeil for
Ixa88 band. choir, and soloists for the *Y)rk's 25th annlversary.
They perfomied at the Regenfs Park Music Festival in London, with
outstanding audience and composer praise. and are also schaduled for a
Welsh premiere in Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
The bend's rendtllon. 8long8ide chorus and s￿Oists. attracted standlng
ovations and was descrlbed as a ￿Markable and memorable event

The band was invited to take part in the 2025 Brass in Concert
Championship at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music- an
8nt8rtalnment-focused natlonal contest that showcases high-wofile brass
bands.

In August 2025, Aldboume Band p8rformed in the world premiere brass
band version of The Arn￿d Man alongside the Crouch End FestNal
Chorus at Regents Park Music Festival-

Brief statement of the
charltys pollcy on reserve$
The trustees have considered the18v81 of r8s8rves required to ensure the
ongoing financial stabllty of the charity.
The trustees corbsider it prudent to maintain at least £5.000 of
unrestricted reserves for fixed commltments such as insuranc8 and hall
hiro.
The trust88s revlew the reserves position annually as part of the
budgeting and financial planning process and wlll adjust the tsrget level if
the charlty's actiwties or risk profile change.
At the year end, unrestricted res8Th8S Stood at £5,548. The trustees are
always aware of the tsrget and continually seek to ensure reserves are
maintsined during the year wh8rever possible through Careful ￿8t control
and income generation. subject to the charlty's primary objective of
delivering musical activities.
