Durlng 2025 we have opened weekiyfor seMces at 10.30am on a Sundaywlth 10-12 peop16 in attendance most nomialweeks. We have continued to run our monthly Coffee morning on the second Saturday ofthe month. These have been generally well attended with ten to fifteen people regularly catching up with each other. The Cake and Cheese Scones have gone down well. Thank you to Beryl. Onne and Gillian for running these so weLL. Wl continue to meet monthly in our buildingand occasionallythe President has been seen at our Coffee Mornings. The Samplord Singers continue to practice in our building on a weekly basis. During2025, Ann, Jan end Sue have t8ken assemblies at Great Sampford Community Prlmaryschool biweekly. We bringthe Christian message to the Children. through Blble stories andthe celebration ofthe Christian Festivats. We have tslked tothe children about the teaching and mir8¢les of Jesus and looked at the stories of Christm8s and Easterto name buta few. Ai80 at the school. Ann and Jan with Sue wn a yeklY Puppet Club and the Children have performed plays in assembly. The Chrlstm8s productlon was performed at our Carol serrfice and w8s enjoyed tyth08e who 8tt6nded. During Lent, we ran 8 Lent course on a Wednesday evening b888d on thelilm'The Kings Speech,. Thi8 W88 8tt8nd8d by a tew but those who attended found it in$pir8tion8l. 8ardfieid Brass Band have graced us with two band concert8 one In Spring and one at Christmas. Atthese events Vre notanended 88weU as In 2024 butthe church was ro88onably full 8nd aiienjoyed the concerts. Jan and Ann have been 8Ctrvely involved in the monthly'seedling Sèrvices, a messy church run in partnershlp wlth the localAngiican benefice. {$88 8tt8ched report) The Christmas Eve $eNlce was well attended and wlth chlldren doing Chr18tma8 Cr8fts. The children made stain glass stars and coloured Christmas natfvtty pictures. Ann told the Christmas story by looking atthe Chrtstm8S tree and of course distributed sweets to the congrègation when they identified the sweets hidden in the Christmas Story. Ann ha5 continued to visit the elderly around the village helping to alleviate their toneliness.
Financially, vrfe have been very blessed wrth generous giving through the offering on 8 Sundayorthrough the bank. The rentfrom The Old Baptist Hallour Manse and generous legacy has meantthat our funds have been very healthy. We have continued to give 10% of our income to other c8use8 along with our regul8r givingto BMS. EBAand World Vision, W have given moniesto Pastorjohn, a pastor in India who runs several churehas 8nd hom88 for homeless boys, and to Ch8poI Community Church forthelr food bank. I praythat we will continue to shlne the light of Jesus in Great Sampford and offer 8 Safe meeting place torthe community. Seedlings Report- A Review of 2025. We moved with exuberance into 2025, our amazing Seedlings Team tsking us into our 22ttd year of mission and ministry in the benefice. I would like to start by thanking the See(llings Team for their hard worK dedication and bringing their God given skills to Seedlings, a perfert ecumenical collaboration. As a team. we have continued to deliver lively and imaginative Services to demonstrate God's love to the children. Our intention is always to bring the Bible stories to life through Godly play, pvppets. dressing up and interaction during the Service. This continues with our wonder1 refreshments and craft artivities, reinforclng God's message whenever we can. We are indebted to our benefice Pcc's and Great Sampford Baptist Church for their ongoing spiritual and flnaDcial support. We are also very grateful for the kind and generous donation gifted to us from Great Sampford Primary School. During 2025. the children have enjoyed Services on the following topics: Epiphany, Joseph and his coac The Good Samaritan, Easter- from Palm Sunday through to Easter Sunday, Daniel in the Lion's Den. Noah's Ark The Wedding at Cana Hat and The Parable of The Sower, Klndness and God's love and The Nativity. What better way to start the year. than bumping up and down on a camel at our Epiphany Paty. Great fun was had by all the Radwinter Seedllngs, dressing up as wlse men. Imltatlng eamels. playing party games. enjoying the homemade refreshments (star shaped!) and craft activities. Another highlight Wds our transforn)ation of the baptistry at the Baptist Church into a Lion's denl The Great Sampford Seedlings loved going down into the den and pretending to be lions. They enjoyed maklng and wearing lion masks and roarlng with 8reat effect! Helen was brilllant In her role as Mrs Noah at our Noah's Ark Service, sending the children to find eggs which her chickens had hidden in the Church. The children brought along animal soft tOyS to be in the ark We had a plethora ofanimals from giraffes to zebra and plenty of (teddy} bears! Ann and lan make an amazing tsam telling our stories with the help of the wonderful puppeL Mischief the monkey who the children have come to l(now and love. At our Summer Party Service in Great Sampford, Mischief had a brilliant cameo role as a guest at The Wedding at Cana. The children were mesmerlsed as the water turned into "wine". Party games such as musical kneelers, muslcal statues and hot parcel were enjoye(L The chlldren went back to school canying prizes and balloons In a colourful convoy. In November tho Radwinter children made decorations for our Seedlings tree at the Radwinter Christmas Tree Festival. The theme for 2025 was Dickens or Dahl. Books either by Charles Dickens or Roald Dahl. We chose Esio Trot by Roald Dahl but linked the theme to kindness and God's love. Our tree looked resplendent covered with tortoises of various sizes and love hearts. Our tree was voted as the best tree decorated by children. Well done all the Radwinter Seedling51 The tree is always recycled after the fe5tiwal and ends up in one of our churche5. The year culminated In our beautiful Nativity Service where our knitted Nattty puppets take centre stage. The children enjoyed amazlng homemade biscuits (thankyou Kate!} 2nd enjoyed maklng Advent candles, Christmas wreaths and Nativity stable Christmas cards. Thank you to our amazing Churchwardens Sue and Wendy for providing the wonderfvl refreshments without fail and tolerating the brandishing of glitter and paint in our beautiful churches! l am very gratefijl for the invention of the Henry Hoover!
