## **1. Message From Leadership** 

## **Chair Person’s Message** 

This year ZCNBG reached a milestone in achieving a registered charity status with the Charity Commission of England and Wales in August 2025. ZCNBG was able to make a difference with donations to the food bank in the United Kingdom and University tuition fees for a student in Zambia. Our focus is to continue making a difference in the years to come by achieving our objectives and embarking on attracting more partners  and donors to increase funding.

## **2. About ZCNBG** 

ZCNBG was founded by nurses in the UK diaspora who saw the need to make a difference in their communities. Our journey began with a simple vision: to bring Christ’s love to those in need. 

Today, we continue to grow and expand our reach, touching more lives and transforming communities through our work in poverty relief and Christian ministry. Working towards a world where every person experiences Christ’s love through freedom from poverty, living with dignity, and embracing Christian values. 

## **Our Mission** 

ZCNBG Charity works with individuals and communities to relieve poverty by providing additional income or other support, and advancing the Christian faith by supporting Christian activities in partnership with other Christian organisations. 

## **Our vision** 

A world where every person experiences the love of Christ through freedom from poverty, living with dignity, and embracing Christian values that uplift communities and transform lives. 

## **Our focus areas** 

Enhancing the Christian faith in the nursing profession. By emulating the compassion from our Lord Jesus Christ through the care given to those in our care and their families; 

Alleviate poverty among fellow members of the profession and the general public.

## **3. Year in Review** 

## **Key Highlights (2025)** 

We donated £400 to Godmanchester food bank, Russell Trust in Huntingdon. 

We paid university fees for Ndumba Chitenje of the University of Zambia. 

We began our commitment to paying the salary for the general secretary at Zambia Nurses Christian Fellowship (“ZNCF”) for the staff work for a period of two years. ZNCF is a partner organisation and is a non-denominational Christian professional organisation whose primary focus is the nurse. The general secretary is tasked with coordinating student Nurses recruitment to the fellowship and impressing upon them the values of our Lord Jesus Christ in the care of  patients.

Sponsorship of Ibrahim Ndumba Chitengi at University of Zambia. 

“ _I am profoundly grateful for the immense support provided by ZCNBG Leadership and Membership, without which this achievement would not have been possible”._ 

Sponsorship of the general secretary salary. 

“ _Thank you very much. We continue to appreciating the support you render to us. May God bless you and the organisation_ ”. 

## **4. Programmes and Activities A. Enhance Christian values** 

A visit by the co-chair sister Edith Simfukwe visited the ZNCF on 31 July 2025. 

A new Nurses Christian Fellowship students’ group was launched at Nkana Academy College of Nursing in Kitwe on 6 August 2025. On this very day the team paid a courtesy call to the other groups in Kitwe namely: Shalom College of Nursing, Kitwe College of Nursing, University of Zambia school of Nursing and Nkana University School of Nursing. 

The Copperbelt students’ day conference took place in Mufulira on 27 September 2025, themed “ _Fundamental values of caregiving_ ” The co-chair shared on the 6 Cs, “ _Care, Compassion, Communication, Competence, Commitment and Courage_ ”. Also, other topics shared were “ _Value of_ Man” and a motivational talk on to the students to know their “ _Wealth, Trust God and Focus on studies_ ”. In attendance were seven colleges namely:

Mufulira-80, Roan-35, Nchanga-30, Stalla Crown-25, Nkana Academy-19, Arthur Davison10, Chibuluma-5 and qualified nurses-24, Total-228. 

## **Bible studies** 

These were conducted to help members have a deeper understanding of the word of God in order to enhance spiritual growth. 

These were conducted at Nchanga college of Nursing in Chingola, Nkana academy college of Nursing in Kitwe, Ndola college of Nursing in Ndola and St Luke’s Mpasha college of nursing in Rufunsa of Lusaka Province. 

## **Prayer meetings** 

There were held to help members develop a personal relationship with God. 

These took place at Arthur Davison Paediatrics college of Nursing in Ndola, Kitwe college of Nursing in Kitwe and Roan College of Nursing in Luanshya. 

## **Mentorship** 

Is ongoing with 3 newly qualified Nurses from Ndola, Luanshya and Lusaka to orient and familiarise them with the work of NCF. 

## **Outcomes:** 

200 student nurses at Nkana college of Nursing  joined the ZNCF fellowship on the day of the launch of the new group in Kitwe. 

19 of the new members attended the one day conference. 

Sister Maureen Simuchimba Siachoono testimony: 

“ _I wish to inform you that the Kalulushi Management team have been of great assistance to me according to my special needs. They have showed up each time a need  arises and I thank the Lord that he has made it happen. In another instance through the senior nursing officer, I managed to see a doctor. I can only say may God richly bless you all”._ 

## **B. Alleviate Poverty**

KPIs were tracked by trustee attendance of activities for the year with our overseas partner organisations. 

Quarterly reports of activities and impacts of the activities were received by the trustees.

- All funds during the period were unrestricted. 

- The charity did not employ staff during the period. 

- No grants were received. 

- No related ‑ party transactions occurred.

We extend our gratitude to the Nurses and partners committed to monthly donations. 

## **9. Challenges and Lessons** 

Challenges of financial needs that keep rising among our partner organisations, and the cost of living in general. 

We are learning to be proactive in being able to find more donors to help sustain and expand the work in line with our objectives. 

## **10. Future Plans** 

We are looking forward to completing our website and increase our fund raising opportunities with a greater reach. 

We also hope to finalise our official email set up for the leadership.
