The Trustees have had due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. The principal objectives of Women Fight for Ukraine Foundation are set out in its governing document as follows:

What the charity does :
The charity pursues general charitable purposes, with a particular focus on the advancement of health and the saving of lives, and the prevention or relief of poverty among those affected by conflict. The charity also promotes the advancement of arts, culture, heritage and science through the celebration and preservation of Ukrainian cultural traditions.
Who the charity helps :
The charity's work reaches a broad range of beneficiaries, including civilians affected by armed conflict, Ukrainian defenders and frontline workers, combat medics, emergency rescuers, displaced persons and refugees, children who have lost parental care or been displaced by war, individuals with disabilities or serious injuries sustained in conflict, and the general public in the United Kingdom.
How the charity helps :
The charity provides assistance through making grants to individuals in need and by undertaking other charitable activities as directed by the Trustees in furtherance of its objects.
Where the charity operates :
The charity operates throughout England and Wales and extends its activities to Ukraine, providing direct assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
Charitable Objects
The objects of the charity, as set out in its governing document, are as follows:
3.1 The objects of the CIO are :
(a) For the public benefit, the advancement of health and the saving of lives among persons situated in Ukraine and affected by the war there, in particular by supplying them with medical or protective equipment.
(b) For the public benefit, the prevention or relief of poverty among persons situated in Ukraine, or seeking refuge in the UK, and affected by the war there, in particular by supplying them with items or services which: (i) are necessary in light of their circumstances, but which
(ii) they are unable themselves to acquire.
3.2 The provisions of clause 3.1 shall be construed as follows :
(a) ‘Persons … affected by the war’ means persons who are at risk of suffering death, serious injury, a recognised mental disorder, or severe deprivation as a result of military actions taken by either belligerent, or who have suffered such effects (save death);
(b)‘Items’ means chattels;
(c)‘Services’ includes relevant medical or psychological services;
(d) Items or services are ‘necessary in light of circumstances’ if they are a basic necessity to that person, considering the circumstances he finds himself in, and may include food, clothing, or heat-preserving or sanitary equipment; and
(e) A person may be ‘unable… to acquire’ an item due to: (i) insufficient means, or (ii) a shortage of the item in question.

Public Benefit
The Trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's aims and objectives and in planning its future activities. In particular, the Trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives set out in the charity's governing document.
The charity provides direct public benefit by delivering essential humanitarian aid to persons in Ukraine affected by the ongoing armed conflict, and by supporting Ukrainian refugees and displaced persons seeking refuge in the United Kingdom. All activities carried out during the reporting period were undertaken in furtherance of the charitable objects and for the benefit of the public.
The Trustees are satisfied that the charity's objectives, as set out in its governing document, are for the public benefit and that the activities undertaken during the period advanced those objectives.
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of Section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

Main Achievements
Summary of activities during the period
The Trustees are pleased to report significant progress in advancing the charity's objects during the period 13 August 2024 to 31 August 2025. This was the charity's first full reporting period following registration and represented a year of substantial growth in both fundraising capacity and charitable delivery.
During the period, the charity raised funds totalling £113,205 through donations and fundraising events and applied £111,669 in furtherance of its charitable purposes, activities focused on providing humanitarian assistance to persons affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine, supporting vulnerable individuals and families and fostering community engagement and awareness in the United Kingdom.
The Trustees are grateful to the charity's volunteers, donors, supporters and partner organisations whose contributions enabled the charity to deliver practical assistance to beneficiaries in Ukraine and to establish a growing network of support across the United Kingdom.
Key activities and achievements during the period included:
Humanitarian aid delivered to Ukraine
During the period the charity sourced, purchased, packed and dispatched multiple consignments of humanitarian aid and essential equipment to beneficiaries in Ukraine. Items delivered included a 13 EcoFlow Delta 2 power stations, 3 Starlink Mini units, 69 banks, laptops and other communications equipment purchased through the charity's Christmas fundraising campaign (December 2024); Christmas snacks delivered to Ukrainians near the front line (December 2024); and 43 power banks delivered to frontline medicsin partnership with British Ukrainian Aid (another UK-registered charity) (January 2025); protein bars, snacks and winter supplies delivered to defenders and medics operating in difficult winter conditions (January 2025);hand warmers, foot warmers and tactical footwear supplied to beneficiaries enduring severe winter conditions (March 2025); a Mitsubishi L200 vehicle purchased in the United Kingdom and delivered to Pavlohrad for use in humanitarian and frontline humanitarian support operations (April 2025); and uniforms, laptops, blankets, protein bars, wet wipes, tools, power banks and medical supplies delivered in partnership with Murashky Foundation, which additionally provided approximately 3,100 food portions for distribution (August 2025).
The charity also launched a targeted fundraising campaign to provide a radio-electronic system intended to improve protection against drone attacks and enhance the safety of those in high-risk environment (June 2025).
Fundraising events
The charity organised a range of fundraising events throughout the reporting period. The primary purpose of these events was to raise funds in furtherance of the charity's humanitarian objects, including the advancement of health and the saving of lives through the provision of humanitarian aid. The events also provided an opportunity to promote and celebrate Ukrainian culture and heritage as an ancillary aspect of the fundraising activities.
On 23 August 2024, the charity held a fundraising event together with Support Ukraine Ltd and British Ukrainian Aid; the event was attended by Ukrainian veterans and supporters, raising approximately £13,700 (net of expenses) towards prosthetic support and rehabilitation initiatives.
A sand animation performance by Ukrainian artist Oksana Merhut was held on 29 September 2024, combining cultural engagement with charitable fundraising.
Christmas workshops were organised on 29 November 2024 and 7 December 2024, raising funds for humanitarian assistance whilst promoting Ukrainian cultural traditions.

Main Achievements - continued
On 31 January 2025, the charity hosted an "Evening for Ukraine" fundraising event in West Wittering featuring Ukrainian culture, music, food and a charity auction, raising approximately £5,500 (gross).
On 11 April 2025, the charity marked its third anniversary with a fundraising and community event in London, raising approximately £2,827 (gross) towards a vehicle and humanitarian supplies.
On 17 May 2025, the charity hosted its annual Eurovision charity event, raising approximately £2,625 (gross).
A major fundraising and cultural event held at the University Women's Club on 28 June 2025 raised approximately £5,989 (gross). Funds raised contributed towards the purchase and deployment of a vehicle supporting humanitarian missions to the areas close to the frontlines.
Support for children
For the third consecutive year, the charity delivered Christmas gifts to Ukrainian children, focusing in December 2024 the project focused on children living in the Kherson region, approximately 5 kilometres from the front line, The initiative sought to bring moments of joy and normality to children living in exceptionally difficult circumstances and was made possible through the generosity of donors and volunteers.
Raising public awareness
The charity participated in, and organised, a number of public engagement and awareness-raising activities throughout the reporting period. The purpose of these activities was to raise public awareness of the charity's humanitarian work, to inform the wider public about the necessity of the assistance provided to people affected by the war in Ukraine, to encourage charitable giving and volunteering, and to promote the charity's charitable objects.
A trustee of the charity participated in a panel discussion held at one of the Committee rooms at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster (October 2024),The event was attended by the members of general public as well journalists and Ukrainian embassy representatives,During the discussion, the charity’s representatives spoke about the humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine, support and rehabilitation for individuals affected by the war, the integration of Ukrainian refugees in the United Kingdom, and the promotion of culture and heritage through charitable and community initiatives.
Grants made during the period
During the period the charity made grants totalling £96,849, comprising £29,058 made through charitable and community partners and £67,791 applied for the benefit of individual beneficiaries. Consistent with the charity's policy, no cash grants are made to individuals; all grants were applied to the purchase and delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to persons affected by the conflict in Ukraine by the charity, ensuring transparency and accountability over how funds are applied.
Financial Review
Financial Position
The charity received total income of £113,205 during the period 13 August 2024 to 31 August 2025, being the first period of the charity's operation. Income arose entirely from voluntary donations and gifts received in furtherance of the charity's objects.
Total expenditure amounted to £111,669, resulting in a net surplus of £1,536 for the period. Expenditure comprised charitable activities of £106,325 (including grants of £96,849 and direct activity costs), costs of raising funds of £4,912, and support costs of £432.
At 31 August 2025 the charity held total funds of £1,536, all of which are unrestricted, represented entirely by cash at bank.
Reserves Policy
The Trustees have adopted a reserves policy which aims to maintain unrestricted free reserves sufficient to meet a minimum of three months' worth of planned operational expenditure. Given the charity's current stage of development and the ongoing and urgent nature of the humanitarian need it addresses, the Trustees consider it appropriate to deploy the substantial majority of funds received into charitable activities as quickly as practicable, while retaining a working balance to meet routine administrative commitments.
At 31 August 2025, unrestricted reserves stood at £1,536. The Trustees acknowledge that this is below the target reserve level and will keep this under active review. The Trustees are satisfied that the charity's ongoing fundraising activities provide a reasonable basis for maintaining operational continuity and that no significant liabilities or commitments remain outstanding at the period end.

Going Concern
The Trustees have reviewed the charity's financial position, its closing cash balance of £1,536, and its plans for future fundraising activities. The charity is entirely dependent on voluntary donations and fundraising income and has no longterm funding commitments in place. However, the Trustees have considered the charity's track record of fundraising during the period, the continued public support for its work, and the absence of any outstanding liabilities at the period end. On this basis the Trustees are satisfied that the charity has adequate resources to continue its activities for the foreseeable future and the financial statements have accordingly been prepared on a going concern basis.
Structure, Governance and Management
Governing Document
Constitution
Women Fight for Ukraine Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered in England and Wales with the Charity Commission under registered charity number 1209573. The charity is governed by its Constitution, which sets out the objects, powers and procedures of the CIO.
The Trustees have also adopted a Byelaw governing the determination of grant applications and the exercise of the charity's grant-making powers. In addition, the charity maintains a number of policies and procedures relating to governance, compliance, risk management and operational matters, which are reviewed periodically by the Trustees.
Trustee Selection Methods
Appointment of Trustees
The charity is managed by its Board of Trustees. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the charity's Constitution. New trustees are identified on the basis of the skills, experience and commitment required to further the charity's objects and receive an induction covering the charity's activities, governance and financial position upon appointment.
Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing the financial statements the trustees are required to:

select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;

observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP;
-
make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and
-
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at anytime the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial information included on the charity's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Women Fight for Ukraine Foundation (the Trust) for the period ended 31 August 2025.
Responsibilities and Basis of Report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent Examiner's Statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and contents of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. General Information
Women Fight for Ukraine Foundation is a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission, registered charity number 1209573 . The principal address is Flat 12, Inner City House, 165-169 Lewisham Way, London, SE14 6QP.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)", Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Charities Act 2011.
The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Fund Accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the trustees for a specific purpose.
Restricted funds are to be used for specific purposes as laid down by the donor.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
2.3. Incoming Resources
Income is recognised when the charity is legally entitled to it after any performance conditions have been met, the amounts can be measured reliably, and it is probable that income will be received.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once the charity has been notified of the donation, unless performance conditions require deferral of the amount. Income tax recoverable in relation to donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the time of the donation.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise if the charity has been notified of an impending distribution, the amount is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount is not known, the legacy is treated as a contingent asset.
2.4. Cash and Cash Equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand and deposits held at call with banks, other short-term highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and are readily convertible to a known amount of cash with insignificant risk of change in value, and bank overdrafts.
2.5. Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement, and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and support costs which are not attributable to a single activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges are allocated on the portion of the asset’s use.

5. Grants Payable
Grants to individuals represent the cost of humanitarian aid items — including medical and protective equipment, power and communication equipment, clothing and other essential supplies — purchased by the charity and distributed directly to beneficiaries in Ukraine and to refugees in the United Kingdom. Consistent with the charity's policy, no unrestricted cash grants are made to individuals; all support is provided in the form of goods and services procured and delivered directly by the charity, in order to maintain transparency and accountability over the application of funds.

9. Transactions with Trustees
None of the trustees received any remuneration or any other benefits from an employment with the charity or a related entity during the current year.
No trustee expenses have been incurred.
