The Trustees of the charity have pleasure in submitting their report and the financial statements for the period ended 30 June 2025.
The financial statements have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis in accordance with the accounting policies set out in notes to the accounts and comply with the charity’s governing document and the requirements of the Charities Act 2011.
## **Structure, governance and management**
The Visionaries Collective is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered with the Charity Commission on 12 August 2024, registration number 1209536. The organisation is governed by its constitution. A board of appointed trustees run the organisation, delegating the day to day running of the organisation to employed members of staff.
All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.
Our governing document dictates that the minimum number of trustees required is three. The appointed individuals must fit within the given requirements of the organisation’s constitution.
## **Charitable Aims and Objectives**
Our charity’s purpose as set out in the objects of the charity are to:
- To act as a resource for young people by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of: advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in nature and in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.
- To advance education for the public benefit in environmental leadership and conservation by relevant means including the provision of grants and training.
## **The following activities will be undertaken in order to achieve the above aims:**
The Visionaries Collective CIO is an inter-generational community that brings together adults and young people to learn from nature and act in service of collective liberation and healing. We foster a supportive environment where individuals can grow, connect, and contribute to a regenerative education movement. Our work is rooted in the belief that nature is a powerful guide for personal and communal transformation, and we strive to create spaces where this connection can flourish.
At the heart of our activity are residential events, workshops, and training programs designed for young people, youth practitioners, and educators. These experiences provide opportunities for skill-sharing, dialogue, and immersive learning, all aimed at nurturing well-being, resilience, and a deeper understanding of our relationship with the natural world. Our programmes, such as _Wild & Well_ , empower participants to integrate nature-based practices into their lives and professional work, fostering a culture of care, curiosity, and collective action.

We also facilitate systemic projects and alliances, such as the _Life-Centred Learning Alliance_ , which seek to reimagine education through a life-affirming lens. By collaborating with schools, communities, and like-minded organisations, we aim to embed regenerative principles into educational practices and broader societal structures. Our residential retreats, training sessions, and community gatherings—like _The Village_ and _Council & Mirroring Training_ —create spaces for reflection, collaboration, and the co-creation of solutions that honour both people and the planet.
Through these activities, The Visionaries Collective CIO is committed to growing a movement that supports healing, equity, and ecological stewardship, ensuring that our work remains responsive to the evolving needs of our community and the world we share.
## **Public Benefit Statement**
The trustees have complied with the duty as laid out in Section 4 of Chapter 1 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to public benefit guidance and do not rely on their own assumptions regarding the public benefit of The Visionaries Collective.
## **Review of Activities and achievements**
Since 2019, The Visionaries stands as a pioneering education movement dedicated to fostering a deep connection between educators, young people, and nature. At its core, the organisation is committed to equipping individuals with the tools and mindset necessary to lead transformative change, guided by the principles of regenerative education. By emphasising the importance of reconnecting with nature, The Visionaries addresses contemporary crises through a holistic approach that integrates personal, collective, and planetary health. The charity operated under a previous governance structure until August 2024, namely The Visionaries Education CIC.
## **Key Programmes and Impact**
Our flagship initiatives—Wild & Well, Visionary Schools Lab, and movement-building activities—are designed to support young people, particularly those from marginalised communities. Annually, we engage over 1,500 young people aged 14–25 and 600 educators, with a cumulative reach of 6,500 young people and 2,000 educators since 2019. Our work is concentrated in Sheffield, London, and other UK locations, targeting young people on free school meals, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and those facing marginalisation due to ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
Our programmes consistently achieve high satisfaction, with participants reporting significant improvements in confidence, wellbeing, and connection to nature. For example, our ‘The Village at the Edge of the World’, supported by a grant from the Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust, enabled 12 young adults to participate in a transformative outdoor experience, with an average satisfaction rating of 4.87/5. Participants highlighted increased confidence, emotional regulation, and a renewed motivation to engage with nature and community care.

## **Partnerships and Community**
We collaborate with a diverse network of partners, including ThoughtBox, Big Education, The National Trust, Patagonia, and Be The Earth Foundation, to amplify our impact and promote inclusivity. Our Peer Network and system projects foster collaboration among educators, enabling the sharing of skills, resources, and best practices in regenerative education.
## **Looking Ahead**
The Visionaries remain committed to removing financial and systemic barriers to nature connection. We will continue to expand our bursary programmes, strengthen alumni pathways, and diversify the pipeline of outdoor leaders, ensuring that more young people—regardless of background—can benefit from life-changing experiences in nature.
## **Future Plans**
- **Wild & Well** - We are seeking further funding to roll it out nationwide.
- **‘Ped Yatra’ Pilgrimage Residential Journey** - Autumn 2026
- **Life-Centred Learning Alliance** - attending conferences and delivering seasonal meetups for youth practitioners
- **Educator Leadership Residential** - Autumn 2026
- **Council & Mirroring Training** - 4-5 day training - Date TBC
- **The Village** - 20 participating young people. Summer 2026
- **Anti-oppressive Nature Facilitation Training** - 2 day training - Date TBC
## **Financial Review**
Total income on unrestricted funds was £9,359, £59,037 was received for restricted funds.
Unrestricted expenditure of £7,414 was spent on charitable activities and restricted expenditure of £8,685.
The result for the period was net income of £52,297, the total reserves balance carried forward at 30 June 2025 was £52,297. Of these £50,352 are restricted funds.
## **Reserves Policy**
Free reserves (general funds excluding tangible fixed assets and stocks set aside for charitable distribution) as at 30 June 2025 were £1,945.
The Visionaries Collective holds reserves to safeguard the continuity and resilience of our work and have based the policy on a review of the risks and integrity of the income streams. Based on this the target reserves level is £1,000 which could be used to cover working capital costs or unexpected events.

## **Independent Examiner’s report to the Trustees of The Visionaries Collective**
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Visionaries Collective (the Charity) for the period ended 30 June 2025.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the Charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
- accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or
- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Notes on the preparation of the accounts**
Receipts and payments accounts are statements that summarise the movement of cash into and out of the charity during the financial year. In this context "cash" includes cash equivalents, for example, bank accounts where cash can be readily withdrawn to pay for debts as they become due.
Unrestricted funds comprise of general funds and designated funds. General funds are expendable at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objectives of charity.
Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors as to how they may be used. The purposes and uses of the restricted funds are set out in the notes to the accounts.

## **The Beeches Project**
A fund to support 'The Beeches' - a new intergenerational hub of social and ecological transformation in the heart of the Peak District - collective ownership, environmental justice, regenerative organising, deep connection to nature and community wealth building.
## **Nature walks**
Funding from The Scurrah Wainwright Charity to host a series of 5 fully funded nature walks across Yorkshire.
## **3 Trustees' remuneration and expenses**
The trustees were not paid or received any benefits from employment with the charity, neither were the reimbursed expenses during the year. No trustee received payment for professional or other services supplied to the charity.
Trustees donated £200 before gift aid. This is included within resticted donations.
## **4 Related party transactions**
On 23 April 2025, The Visionaries Education CIC, company number 11748205, a company who had a director in common with the key management of The Visionaries Collective CIO, ceased and transferred the assets to The Visionaries Collective CIO for £nil consideration.
The £8,483 balance at bank received on the transfer is included within donations.
There were no related party transactions to report during the financial year, other than those in note 5.
