TRUSTEES' REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

Objectives and activities (Continued)

b. Strategies for achieving objectives

We offer a place of worship to hold prayer meetings, teachings and various programmes for the general public and our existing members. We have the children’s church, where we nurture children and young people to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and guide them to grow into responsible future leaders. The adults are trained through a membership class and other training offered for developing and building spiritual strength and stability in them. Our mission is to present the gospel to the unsaved, make ministry gifts out of saints and deploy the trained to do all God has said for them to do. We are a ministry with a heart focused on planting churches and building Christian communities everywhere, especially across the Western part of the world.

We broadcast our teachings and services on social media, where we reach more people online in addition to those attending the place of worship. Several messages are recorded on audio/video recordings to give out for free to all visitors, and especially new members who want to grow in their spiritual lives. We also produce tracts and publish electronic materials for the benefit of the public and church members. These are distributed mainly during outreach/evangelism on the streets and in church, to church members and visitors. We also have all the above for children, who are specially trained and nurtured as Equip Kids.

We provide pastoral care for individuals and families who are our members, visitors from the public or other requests we receive needing support. We offer spiritual counselling and prayers for those experiencing emotional and psychological challenges. We provide them with the necessary information as much as possible and refer them to other organisations and agencies that will further meet their needs.

We go on personal visits to members who are bereaved, sick in the hospital or experiencing trauma, to express our love, care and comforting arms. Those who are celebrating new births, marriages, etc., are also supported as much as possible.

We relieve financial hardship for members or connected people who seek our support. Young people within the church have received significant physical support with food, transportation and paying for their accommodation within our resources, in the interim.

As a church, we will arise to offer assistance in any form of unforeseen circumstances that may occur in all communities where we are located in Birmingham.

We will promote other charitable activities associated with the purpose of The Equipping Center Global. These include working in partnership with collaboration with other Churches, Charities, Schools and governmental agencies that will serve the interests of our members and the immediate community.

The pastor also acts as a volunteer coordinator for the charity to ensure that the best value is derived from the sterling efforts of our volunteers.

Achievements and performance (continued)

This year, the church was also able to successfully host its annual camp meeting that led to an increase in our membership. We also had our first end of the year Worker’s Appreciation dinner to appreciate the efforts of our volunteers.

b. Review of activities

Amongst all the various activities the church is involved in, below is a brief summary outlining a selection of the different activities the church members and leaders have actively participated in:

Mid-year Retreat : An annual mid-year camp meeting of The Equipping Center Global, where all members converge to pray, study and worship in celebration of the church’s anniversary and preparation for the church’s new year and the second half of the calendar year.

Camp Meeting: An annual camp meeting of The Equipping Center Global, where all members converge to pray, study and worship in preparation for the new year.

Unburden: A quarterly worship meeting where members of the church gather to worship and sing to God.

Hangout: This is an event that happens at specific times of the year, for members of the church to come together as a form of fellowship and a way to play as well as bond over food and games.

SELAH: This is our extended 6-hour Bible study, which takes place three times a year, for members to meet to be taught God’s word and also ask questions.

Overturn: This is our monthly prayer meeting. This takes place every 3rd Friday over a video-conferencing application, mostly, but are also sometimes held in-person.

Coffee Chat: This is a monthly event that occurs every last Sunday of the month. Every member of the church stays behind after the service to bond in specialised, focused groups over food and games. Opportunities are given to network and also strengthen relationships.

Monthly Evangelism: As a church, we go out to preach the gospel to people on a monthly basis.

Workers’ Appreciation Dinner: This is an annual event where all volunteers gather over dinner for a special appreciation from the leadership and pastorate of the church for their services and contributions.

Supernatural Class (SC): This is our specialised meetings held twice a year, mostly in areas where our virtual community reside, usually outside of Birmingham. It’s an avenue to meet with them, strengthen their faith and build a thriving community.

Cross Over Service: This is an annual meeting on the 31st of December into the 1st of January. The purpose is to fellowship and pray together into every new year.

TRUSTEES' REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

c. Investment policy and performance

The trustees have decided that at present, funds should be retained in the bank. Any change in such banking arrangements should be agreed by the trustees.

Financial review

a. Going concern

After making appropriate enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going concern basis can be found in the accounting policies.

b. Reserves policy

The trustees have established a policy whereby the unrestricted funds not committed or invested in tangible fixed assets ('the free reserves') held by the church should be three months of annual expenditure. At this level, the trustees feel that they would be able to continue the current activities of the church in the event of a significant drop in funding.

c. Risk management

The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the charity, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate our exposure to the major risks.

d. Principal funding

This is provided mainly through voluntary tithes and offerings by the church members. Pledges/donations are also taken for specific projects.

a. Constitution

The Equipping Center Global is a registered charity (charity number 1209525) and is constituted and governed in accordance with its constitution.

b. Methods of appointment or election of Trustees

The management of the Charity is the responsibility of the Trustees, who are appointed and serve in accordance with the Charity’s governing document.

c. Organisational structure and decision-making policies

The church is organised so that the trustees meet regularly to manage its affairs. The Lead Pastor and the Charity Administrator manage the day-to-day administration of the church

d. Policies adopted for the induction and training of Trustees

The induction process for any newly appointed member of the Trustees comprises an initial meeting with the Chair and other Trustees, followed by a series of short meetings with the Minister in Charge on the powers and responsibilities of the Trustees.

e. Pay policy for key management personnel

The trustees consider that the trustees and the Lead pastor comprise the key management personnel of the charity in charge of directing and controlling, running, and operating the Trust on a day-to-day basis. All trustees give their time freely in their capacity as trustees.

The pay of the charity's senior staff is determined by the trustees and is typically increased to account for inflation, based on the latest Consumer Price Index. Plans are in place to benchmark this remuneration against similarsized charities in the future.

REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER TO THE TRUSTEES FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the period ended 31 August 2025, which are set out on pages 13 to 26.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act").

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and, in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that, in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

  3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

THE EQUIPPING CENTER GLOBAL

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

1. General information

The Equipping Center Global is a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission in England & Wales. The office address is 167-169 Great Portland Street,5[th] floor, London.W1W 5PF.

2. Accounting policies

2.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) - Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011.

The financial statements have been prepared to give a 'true and fair' view and have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the extent required to provide a 'true and fair' view. This departure has involved following the Charities SORP (FRS 102) published in October 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn.

The Equipping Center Global meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy.

2.2 Income

All income is recognised once the Charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.

2.3 Expenditure

Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and support costs which are not attributable to a single activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the asset’s use.

Expenditure on charitable activities is incurred on directly undertaking the activities which further the Charity's objectives, as well as any associated support costs.

All expenditure is inclusive of irrecoverable VAT.

THE EQUIPPING CENTER GLOBAL

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

2. Accounting policies (continued)

2.4 Interest receivable

Interest on funds held on deposit is included when receivable and the amount can be measured reliably by the Charity; this is normally upon notification of the interest paid or payable by the institution with whom the funds are deposited.

2.5 Tangible fixed assets and depreciation

Tangible fixed assets costing £800 or more are capitalised and recognised when future economic benefits are probable and the cost or value of the asset can be measured reliably.

Tangible fixed assets are initially recognised at cost. After recognition, under the cost model, tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. All costs incurred to bring a tangible fixed asset into its intended working condition should be included in the measurement of cost.

Depreciation is charged so as to allocate the cost of tangible fixed assets less their residual value over their estimated useful lives.

2.6 Debtors

Trade and other debtors are recognised at the settlement amount after any trade discount offered. Prepayments are valued at the amount prepaid net of any trade discounts due.

2.7 Cash at bank and in hand

Cash at bank and in hand includes cash and short-term highly liquid investments with a short maturity of three months or less from the date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar account.

17 | P a g e

THE EQUIPPING CENTER GLOBAL

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025

2.8 Liabilities and provisions

Liabilities are recognised when there is an obligation at the Balance sheet date as a result of a past event, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit will be required in settlement, and the amount of the settlement can be estimated reliably.

Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the Charity anticipates it will pay to settle the debt or the amount it has received as advanced payments for the goods or services it must provide.

Provisions are measured at the best estimate of the amounts required to settle the obligation. Where the effect of the time value of money is material, the provision is based on the present value of those amounts, discounted at the pre-tax discount rate that reflects the risks specific to the liability. The unwinding of the discount is recognised in the Statement of financial activities as a finance cost.

2.9 Financial instruments

The Charity only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement value with the exception of bank loans which are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

2.10 Fund accounting

General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the Charity and which have not been designated for other purposes.

Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors or which have been raised by the Charity for particular purposes. The costs of raising and administering such funds are charged against the specific fund. The aim and use of each restricted fund is set out in the notes to the financial statement.
