Members of the church are managing trustees of the Church. and the ordinary general meetings are held Ihreelfour limes per annum. Day to day administrab'on of the church is delegated to the Church Steward$ and the other officers, including the Treasurer. The number of members al 31 August 2025 was 22 (2024.20). The purpose of Freeman Ghanaian Methodist Church is to glorify God, proclaim the Gospel and seek to win people for the Kingdom of G¢)d.' To nurture and care for those who ar¢ committed to Christ To extend pastoral oversighi to ihe church's wider family To promoie Christian values -1 o re8pond in the name of Christ lo contemporary issues To share a vision of the world church The follobmng is a summary ot the main activities undertaken during the year in pursuit of those objectives.. Wor8hlp.' The Church mee18 Tegularly for acts of worship. the V+wkty 3pm service on Sundays averaging 26 aduhs and 7 children. The service takes the form of Hoty Communion once a month and All Age Worship on¢e a month. The seTvKes are led by the Widmore Circuit Ministers and local preachers. The Church also hdds bl￿e Studies and prayer meetings on a Fridays wrih average adutt attendanc8 of 10. This is a Ioc81 arrangement led by members ol the church. Pastoral Care: Revd Hannah FaakHeim took pastoral charge of Freeman Ghanaian Methodist Church. Revd Hannah was supported by a team of pastoral visttors ththose V*Y)rk is overseen by th8 Pastoral Committee. Sorylce: The Church seeks to make itsell available to tho kxal o)mmunty. The church hall has been used dLtiing 18rm time by an independent Pre$chwl. Mission and Outroach: Members of the Church Contr￿Ute to the mission w￿rk of the Methodist Church, both overseas and at home, through regular giving and by special fund-raising events. Ecumenlcal: The Church is actively invofved in the Churches Together in Central Bromley group. During the year we shared services with the k)cal Churches in Widmore Circuit. Property: Our policy continues to be maintaining the fabrr of the pTrmtses in g¢>)d condition. Work is to be done in the coming years lo replace the wndows. carpeting etc. in the church. In preparing for the Financial Statement, suitable accounting policies are to be adopted and consislenlly applied to the best of the Trustees. knowledge and belief. making reasonable and prudent judgements and estimates as necessary. The Statement of Recommended Practice for Accounting by Charities is lo be followed. together with applicable Statements of Standard Accounting Practice. The Trustees are reS￿nSIble for mainlaining accounting records, for safeguarding the assets of the Chality and for preventing and detecting Fraud and other irregulartttes. The Trustees are also required to indicate where the Financial Statements are prepared other than on the basis that the Charity is a going concern. Appreclatlon The Trustees would like to thank all those who work in a volunteer capacity to enable the smooth running of the Church in all its facets. As can be seen. Freeman Ghanaian Methodist Church IFGMC} is an organisation devoted to providing public benefrt V￿th the assistance of its members. The Trustees, in exercising their powers and duties, complied wrth their obligation lo have du8 regard to the guidance on public benefrt published by Ihe Chanty Commission.
