Its **Trust Deed** was adopted on **5 August 2024** , and the organisation was officially registered with the **Charity Commission on 5 August 2024** under registration number **1180869** . ## **Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees** The recruitment and appointment of trustees is carried out in accordance with the charity’s constitution and with the consent of existing trustees. Suitable candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to contribute effectively to the charity’s objectives while being sensitive to the needs and demands of the organisation. Trustees are selected from diverse backgrounds that reflect the communities we serve. This ensures that the board brings a wide range of skills and perspectives, while also representing the diversity of the charity’s beneficiaries. ## **Trustees’ Induction and Training** New trustees receive a full briefing from existing trustees on the charity’s aims, activities, and operations. They are referred to the guidance for new trustees published by the Charity Commission and are encouraged to read the charity’s constitution, raising any questions with current trustees. Trustees are expected to be familiar with the charity’s work and to participate regularly in events and services. In line with GOM’s emphasis on staff and volunteer development, trustees are also supported to attend training courses that enhance their ability to contribute effectively to the organisation. ## **Risk Management** The trustees regularly review the major risks to which the charity is exposed, particularly those relating to governance, finance, operations, safeguarding, and reputation. Systems and procedures have been established to mitigate identified risks. ## **Financial Oversight** Trustees have overall responsibility for the financial health of the charity. They review management accounts regularly, approve budgets, and monitor expenditure against planned activity. Independent scrutiny is carried out annually in line with the requirements of the Charity Commission. GOM remains committed to ensuring that funds are spent responsibly, transparently, and in direct alignment with our charitable objectives. We actively seek to maximise the impact of every donation and grant received, while maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard the charity’s assets. 4 ## **Public Benefit** The trustees confirm that, in exercising their powers and duties, they have complied with their statutory responsibility to have due regard to the **guidance on public benefit** published by the Charity Commission. GOM delivers public benefit by providing spiritual, financial and emotional support for individuals and families ## **Reserves Policy** The trustees adopt a **risk-based approach** to determine the appropriate level of reserves, ensuring that GOM remains financially sound while fulfilling all planned activities and contractual, statutory, and legal obligations. The reserve level is reviewed annually and has been set at **£1,000** , providing reassurance to partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries that the charity can sustain its operations and commitments. ## **Church activities during the year ended 31 March 2025** ## * **MOTHER'S DAY*** This is a program dedicated to celebrating the mothers every year. It is also used to teach the importance of being a virtuous mother in the family. ## * **FATHER'S DAY*** The church celebrates the fathers and fathers to be, the celebration is used to honour the fathers to teach and impact in them the importance of being a role model in the family and community. ## **Children’s day:** The church celebrates the children and the family. The church provides bouncing castle and games for the children to have fun. The children recite the holy books and are taught the benefits of obedience in the community. ## ***Food bank*** The church hosts food bank session where the church distributes food items to the members in the community which is normally done twice a month. ## **Christmas/ December festivities and get together:** This is a program in which every family are celebrated, gifts are exchanged between people, there are lots of food and drinks to celebrate the festive season and the faithfulness of the almighty for the year. The choir sing carol songs, and the children have lots of fun. 5 ## **Sunday Service** This is the main weekly gathering of the church where members come together to worship God in unity. The service includes praise and worship, prayer sessions, the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. It is a time of spiritual renewal, encouragement, and fellowship, where members are taught biblical principles for daily living and are strengthened in their faith. ## **Tuesday Bible Study** This program is dedicated to in-depth teaching and understanding of the Holy Scriptures. Members are taught the Word of God systematically to help them grow spiritually and gain sound doctrine. The Bible study also allows for questions and discussions, helping members to apply biblical truths to their personal lives, families, and the wider community. ## **Wednesday Come Together** This is a midweek fellowship program where members gather to pray, share testimonies, and encourage one another in faith. It promotes unity, love, and togetherness among church members. The program also serves as a platform to strengthen relationships within the church and to support one another spiritually and emotionally. ## **Thursday Come Together** This program focuses on spiritual growth through prayer, exhortation, and short teachings. It is designed to build consistency in the Christian walk and to help members remain steadfast in faith throughout the week. The gathering also emphasises accountability, mutual support, and commitment to Christian values. ## **Friday Vigils** The Friday vigil is a night of intense prayer, worship, and spiritual intercession. Members come together to seek God’s presence, pray for personal needs, families, the church, and the community. The vigil helps to strengthen spiritual discipline, deepen faith, and encourage reliance on God through prayer and fasting. ## **Saturday Prayer and Choir Practice** This program is set aside for prayer and preparation for the Sunday service. The prayer session focuses on committing the upcoming service into God’s hands and praying for the congregation and leadership. The choir practice helps the choir members rehearse songs, improve harmony, and prepare to lead the church in worship, thereby enhancing the quality of praise during services.
