**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED. THIS REFERS IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, TO PERSONS OVER 50 YEARS OLD LIVING IN CHELTENHAM, GLOUCESTER AND SURROUNDING AREAS. SOCIAL EXCLUSION MAY INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, THOSE WHO ARE EXCLUDED ON THE BASIS OF, AGE, BEREAVEMENT, UNEMPLOYMENT, RETIREMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, POOR MENTAL OR PHYSICAL HEALTH. THE CIO WILL RELIEVE SOCIAL ISOLATION BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN WHICH THE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED CAN COME TOGETHER TO UNDERTAKE CREATIVE ACTIVITIES, ON AN INDIVIDUAL OR COLLECTIVE BASIS, PARTICULARLY TO THE BENEFIT OF OTHER LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS.

**Activities:** Our aim is to reduce social isolation amongst, but not limited to, retired men. We achieve this by coming together on a regular basis with common purpose. We operate three "Sheds" in which we undertake both personal and community projects, many of which benefit other charities in the area.
