Structure, governance and management
Skate Langport is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution and administered by its trustees. The trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity in accordance with the governing document.
Objectives and activities
Funding is currently being sought for the construction of a skate park in Langport, Somerset. The project is being undertaken by Skate Langport, a charitable organisation whose trustees consist of local residents and business owners.
The project was commissioned by Langport Town Council and Huish Parish Council following a community survey of both parishes in 2022. The charity’s activities during the period focused on initial fundraising and establishing the charity’s financial and administrative arrangements.
Financial review
During the period, the charity received income of £5,006.48, primarily from a donation and bank interest. Expenditure for the period totalled £30.00, relating to bank charges.

The charity ended the period with unrestricted funds of £4,976.48 held as cash at bank. The trustees consider the financial position at the year end to be satisfactory for the charity’s current stage of development.
Reserves policy
As a newly established charity, Skate Langport is in the early stages of fundraising. The trustees intend to retain funds raised to support the future development and construction of the skate park.
Plans for future periods
In the next accounting period, the trustees plan to continue fundraising activities and progress plans for the construction of the skate park in Langport.
