Governance
The charity was registered with the Charity Commission on 23 July2024.11 is constituted as a Charilable
Incorporated Organisalion ICIOI, and operates under a CIO lassocialionl conslitulion.
On 01 April 2025, the operations, assets and liabilities of Colchesler Road Baptist Church (Charity no.
11337561 weTe transferred into this charity, Colchesler Road Bapt￿st Church, Ipswich {charity no.
12092591
Truslees are legally responsible ft)r the governance and management of the charity. Trustees are
responsible of selling strategies and policies for ensuring these are implemented.

Members are admitted in accordance with the provisions of the conslilutM)n by vote of the church
meeting on the basi5 of their profession of Christian faith either by Believers Baptism or by affirmation

The Irustees meet at least every 2 months lo review operations, the financial pertomiance. and discuss
development$ to ensure the church's objectives are being fulfilled. The Trustees have not met during
this period of dormancy.
Church Meellng
Regular meetings of church members are held, with 5 meetings taking place during the year. One of
these Tneetings incorporates the annual church members, meeting to receive annual accounls, and to
appoint Independent Examiners. There have been no membèrs, meetings during this period of
dormancy.
The church rneeling has responsibility for the overall policy ol the church in accordance with the
constilulion. Relevant mallers may be submilled lo the church meeting by the trustees for guidance, or
may be raised by members in church meeting for further consideration by the Iruslees.
Objectives ond activiti8s
The principal purpose of the church is the advancement of the Christian faith according lo the principles
of the Baptist Denomination, to include the 3dvancemenl of education and such olher charitable
purpose5 in the United Kin9dom and other parts of the world as the church may determine.
The trustees have considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, and in particular,
we try lo enable people lo find and live out their faith as part of our church communily through..

The financial statements have been prepared for the period 23 July 2024 10 31 March 2025 in
accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement Df Recommended Practice IFRS

Igl Governancg costs
Ihe regulations require the inclusion of direct expenditure on the governance of the church. Most of the
management is carried out wilhoul charge by volunteers, and this intangible cost is not included in the
Statement of Financi81 Activities. since there is no measurable cost to the volunteers for their service.

The land underlying the church and the manse (land and buildings) are carried al cost less depreciation.
At transitio￿ lo FRS 102 on 1 April 2015, the costs included for Ihe church land and the rnanse are
deemed to be Ihe carryin9 values under the previous UK GAAP, which derlved from market valuations
No depreciation has been charged as il is considered immaterial due lo a high residual value The
church building is carried al ￿$1 less depreciation. The church building is being depreciated on
straighl-line basis, over 50 years. being Ihe expected useful life of the building. Fixtures, fittings and
equipment in the church premises aré being depreciated al 250k On a reduang balance basis
11 Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised in the accounts when it falls due for payment. Any irrecoverable VAT is
included within the related expenditure,

Pension costs are included in the accoijnts when they fall due foi payment.

Any transfers between funds would be authorised by the Trustees in the first instance, and then by the
members. Any transfers would be recorded al Ihe date agreed by the m8mbers.
111 Going concern
The operations, assets and liabilities of a previously existing Charity, Colchesler Road Baptist Church
(Charity no. 11337561, were transferred into the Charity on 1 April 2025, Since when the Charity has
operated as a church.
