Structure The charity is governed and regulated by the constitution adopted on

Governance 27[th] March 2024 and Trustees are elected in accordance with that Management Constitution.

Objectives To offer relief and assistance to people in need in London and Surrey . as a result of substance use by providing, peer support, advocacy, and

signposting; education, information, advice on all matters relating to substance misuse and addiction particularly (but not exclusively) on the effects and impact of substance misuse on the public, individuals, their family and friends.

The trustees have kept in mind the Commission’s guidance on public benefit when planning activities.

Events

Moving on Together had a difficult summer due to its venue suffering a fire. We quickly relocated temporarily to a nearby venue where we stayed for over eight months while repairs were carried out. We went ahead with a planned Wellbeing Day in conjunction with SPEAR a local rough sleepers’ charity. We offered massages, haircuts, acupuncture, clothing,

various other community support and information agencies, and this was well attended despite the last-minute change of address.

In September we organised training for our volunteers on managing violent behaviour and first aid courses. Our links with other organisations grew, with Kingston Churches Against Homelessness (KCAH), Kinston Wellbeing Service (KWS)and SPEAR attending weekly to offer support to clients, and St Georges Liver Scan Van attending fortnightly to offer Blood Born Virus screening (BBV) and liver scans.

Christmas, we hosted a Christmas party, providing a full Turkey dinner and gifts for all our clients with donations from John Lewis and RBKares. In January we held another Wellbeing Day, with various agencies offering their help and expertise.

Funds

Cash in Bank on 27[th] March 2025 was £8988 consisting of unrestricted funds. We aim to keep £3000 in reserves for replacing worn equipment or changes in donations and to cover training costs and public liability insurance, . Outgoings are low as we rely on food donations, volunteers and free rent. Once we are back in Queen Mary Hall we will be able to plan more events.

We would like to thank all the people who have made running Moving on Together possible with their time, donations, expertise and kindness, especially our dedicated twelve volunteers who are all in recovery and provide weekly positive examples of recovery in action.
