The Advisory Board act as an additional layer of idea generation and support to the trustees. As all members of the Advisory Board are close family friends to the charity, they have a very good understanding of the personal reasons behind the GPFFC, and will be an invaluable source of ongoing support for the trustees. - relationship with any related parties; - trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them. ## **Section C Objectives and activities** **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** The objectives of the GPFFC are to advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the charity trustees see fit from time to time, in particular but not limited to: 1 the relief of persons living with Parkinson’s by providing support and assistance; 2 the facilitation and promotion of research into the causes, treatment and cure of Parkinson’s and the dissemination of the results thereof for the benefit of the public; and 3 the relief of those in need because of ill-health or disability. **TAR** 2 **April 2026** The charity issued grants totalling £16,720. All of this money came under the third objective above; “the relief of those in need because of ill-health or disability.”. The trustees unanimously agreed on all grants given in the period, and all had a shared ambition to give to smaller, mainly volunteerled charities, as the impact of each pound can be more truly felt by the recipient(s). We are very pleased that with regard to our other two grant mandates which are: _1 the relief of persons living with Parkinson’s by providing support and assistance;_ **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** _2 the facilitation and promotion of research into the causes, treatment and cure of Parkinson’s and the dissemination of the results thereof for the benefit of the public_ We have already developed excellent relationships with larger Parkinson’s related charities such as Parkinson’s UK and The University of Surrey which conducts cutting-edge research into Parkinson’s. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** We have a Grant Making policy which outlines our strategy on this front, the key outcomes for our grants are as follows: - 1.1.1 the relief of persons living with Parkinson’s by providing support and assistance; You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. - 1.1.2 the facilitation and promotion of research into the causes, treatment and cure of Parkinson’s and the dissemination of the results thereof for the benefit of the public; and - 1.1.3 the relief of those in need because of ill-health, disability or other disadvantage. **(Objects).** - In terms of who can apply for a grant, the charity trustees welcome proposals that support their funding priorities from charities, voluntary bodies and individuals and are particularly keen to support Parkinson’s charities. - The charity trustees will usually only award grants to organisations based in the United Kingdom ( **UK** ) that either: - 1.1.4 are registered as charities with the Charity Commission for England and Wales ( **Charity Commission** ), the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator ( **OSCR** ) and/or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland ( **CCNI** ); and/or - 1.1.5 qualify as charities under the law of England and Wales but are not required to register with the Charity Commission. **TAR** 3 **April 2026** ## 2. **WHAT WE WILL FUND** **----- Start of picture text -----**

**TAR** **April 2026** 4 Section D Achievements and performance Our charity was launched with two big fundraising initiatives. The first **Summary of the main** was a cycle ride of 300 miles to Bruges organised by close friends of the **achievements of the charity** trustees which raised £5,260 and the second was a Mad Hatter’s Tea **during the year** Party which raised £7,777 and both sums of money were donated to the Parkinson UK’s Nurses Appeal. Since then, with our charity registration now set up, we have already donated/pledged a further £118,220 to a combination of Parkinson’s UK, The University of Surrey and smaller volunteer-led charities and individuals to help with disability or illness. Though much of this money was granted after the relevant accounting period. With the recent creation of our website and email marketing integration, we now have a more robust online presence going into the 2025/26 charity year.
