## **1. Charity Overview** 

**Alfreton Youngsters’ Umbrella Provision (AYUP)** is a registered charity (No. 1209172) based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. The organisation provides free, inclusive youth sessions and creative workshops for young people aged 11-17. AYUP’s mission is to create safe, supportive spaces that encourage social connection, creativity, and wellbeing. 

## **2. Governance and Structure** 

AYUP operates as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by a board of trustees. The charity collaborates with local partners such as **Blend Youth Project** and **The Old Farm Bus** to deliver weekly sessions and outreach activities. 

## **3. Weekly Programme of Activities** 

AYUP runs a structured weekly timetable of free youth sessions designed to engage young people through arts, sports, and social interaction.

All sessions are **free of charge** , ensuring accessibility for all young people in the community. 

## **4. Achievements and Impact (Past 12 Months)** 

- Established a consistent weekly programme across multiple venues in Alfreton. 

- Strengthened partnerships with Blend Youth Project and The Old Farm Bus. 

- Delivered creative and recreational opportunities promoting confidence, teamwork, and selfexpression. 



- Provided outreach engagement at Welfare Park, increasing visibility and participation. 

- Offered safe, supervised environments for young people to connect and develop social skills. 

## **5. Community Support and Engagement** 

AYUP has received strong local support through: 

- Collaboration with community partners and youth workers. 

- Engagement via its **Facebook page** and email contact (ayupalfreton@gmail.com). 

- Positive feedback from families and participants. 

## **6. Financial Overview** 

As a recently registered charity, AYUP’s this is the  first full financial return . The organisation continues to operate sustainably through local partnerships and community contributions. 

## **7. Plans for the Coming Year** 

- Expand outreach sessions to additional parks and venues. 

- Develop themed creative workshops and youth-led projects. 

- Strengthen volunteer recruitment and training. 

- Enhance social media presence to reach more young people. 

- Plan local events as fundraising streams.
