Charity Structure
As stated in our charity registration, Equip Britain International (EBI) trains global workers for international service in an immersive cross-cultural context, providing a holistic discipleship experience with coaching, mentoring, and spiritual formation. We train leaders and churches who want to reproduce disciples and churches.
EBI is a community and global minded ministry aimed at being and making disciples who make disciples. While our leadership team meets regularly for business, the ‘work’ is accomplished throughout the relationships of coaching, training, and relational ministry.
During the short life of EBI, we have equipped and sent workers to minister in Mexico, Germany, Australia, in Birmingham and London UK, the US, and via online social media platforms. There are positive relationships with diverse ethnic and denominational groups across Birmingham, the UK, and Europe. A shared desire for a movement of Christian disciple makers across Europe characterises such relationships.
The Trustees meet quarterly for business and financial accountability. Additional trustees are added through invitation of people who are involved with or familiar with the ministry of EBI. The Trustees recognise the need for additional members to the board. The board agrees potential candidates to approach and invite to join the board. It is a goal to add up to 3 new Trustees in the next 12 months.

ACTIVITIES FOR 2024-2025
EQUIP IMMERSIVE
Following the hiatus created by the Covid lockdown, Equip was privileged to relaunch the 10-month immersive ministry experience. A team of 4 people participated in the Equip experience; 3 of whom were already living in Birmingham and the fourth came from the US. One of the participants has actively engaged in serving the SE Asian community in Birmingham. One is serving through the workplace, and one through a church in America. The 4[th] is actively pursuing serving young people in Kenya.
VISITING GROUPS
Winchester, KY - August 2024, a group from Winchester, KY arrived to see the disciple making culture which was developing through Equip in Birmingham. Sessions for training were arranged, as well as times for meetings and Q & A sessions. The relationship with this church group continues to strengthen and mature. Time was spent with them in KY in the summer of 2025 as a follow-up.
Fort Lauderdale, FL - In September 2025, a group from Fort Lauderdale, FL arrived to participate in Equip training in disciple making. This group was new to the Equip LT. The week was a challenge to the Florida group simply due to the nature of the ministry experience. While challenging, the group felt blessed and demonstrated a desire to return in 2026 for further training of their leaders.
MASTER’S DEGREE
Equip launched a master’s degree through ForMission College in 2024. This was a significant step forward and the LT wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Timothy Aho for overseeing the development of the degree content. The course had 8 students from across the UK and Africa. Sadly, ForMission College closed in 2025 and therefore, the degree ended. The impact of this brief course is still being seen by students wishing to have the Equip LT come train their church leaders or help advise with further degree studies.

OTHER TRAINING EVENTS AND SESSIONS
UK CONNECTIONS – ETHNICS
Advancing World Missions Conference – in 2023, a Nigerian mission conference contacted Equip via the website inviting representatives to speak at their UK mission conference. Tim Aho and David Fittro spoke at their annual conference in Manchester in May 2024. A relationship between Equip and AWMC continues to develop. The two ministries share a common purpose for being disciples who make disciples
Co-Mission - A group of young, professional (mostly) Nigerians approached Equip LT seeking training of their cohort. This resulted from the AWMC conferences. This group is casually referred to as ‘Co-Mission’ and consists of young professionals from across the UK. The LT developed two sets of trainings for this group, one delivered during their regular online gatherings in Autumn 2024, and then a 10-week training package in 2025 designed to provide the fundamental principles of disciple making, applicable to local contexts. The response was very positive. The LT remains open to personal visits for prayer, coaching, and further training.
LOCAL MEETINGS/GATHERINGS
There were 2 different local gatherings which the Equip LT were invited to participate in. Jesus Movement were a short series of prayer and training events hosted by a local church minister. These were designed to inspire and challenge Christians to focus on being and making disciples rather than just being ‘church attenders’. The second gathering was centred on huddles of disciple makers who are ‘having a go’ at being missional movement leaders who make disciples in Birmingham. There were 2 such gatherings with the hope of seeing regular thinktank gatherings in the future.
