Status

Chesham Valley Rotary CIO (the “Charity”) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution dated 24 April 2024. It was entered on the Register of Charities on 11 July 2024 under number 1209083.

The Charity began operating on 1 July 2024.

Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30 June 2025

The Trustees present their report and the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 30 June 2025.

Various fundraising activities raised £17,028. After admin costs of £1,198, £9,670 was paid out to deserving causes. This left a balance of £6,280.

Chesham Valley Rotary CIO made a payment of £1078 to the Rotary Foundation.

Objects and Activities

The Charity’s principal objects as set out in its constitution are fund raising to assist charities operating mainly in Chesham and surrounding villages, principally in the fields of poverty relief, support for the elderly, the development of young people, education, disabilities and medical support. Overseas support is provided principally for Rotary based initiatives concerning third world development and emergency responses to natural disasters.

Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Financial Reporting Standards.

The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the Trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the Charity for that period. In preparing these accounts, the Trustees are required:

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the Charity’s constitution. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and, hence, for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

and for any financial information included on the Charity’s website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of accounts may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
