Dover Stage Festival is a CIO with registered charity (number 1209082), set up by foundation on 10 July 2024 and governed as a charitable incorporated organisation.

The charity is overseen by a Board of Trustees, supported by a volunteer management team, who together provide strategic leadership and operational oversight.

We have planned and organised and carried out the first event which was a great success. We have established the categories, age groups, syllabus and specific rules or regulations. Entry forms have been drawn up and sent out to to invited schools. Marketing of the event on social media and through the dance community. Interested dancers and dance groups registered for the competition through an online registration portal or by submitting forms. The organisation manages participant information, ensuring that all necessary details are collected accurately. The Adjudicator was been appointed and is a respected member of the British and International Federation of Festivals. The organisation managed the hire of the venue, arranging for facilities, equipment, and technical support (such as sound systems and lighting), as well as coordinating with vendors for any additional services required. A detailed schedule was created to outline the order of performances, break times etc.

After the event, the organiser we gathered feedback from participants, judges, and spectators to assess the success of the festival and identify areas for improvement. Participation in our festival provides dancers with valuable opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and self-expression. By challenging themselves to perform at their best and receiving constructive feedback from esteemed judges and mentors, dancers can enhance their technique, confidence, and stage presence. Our festival serves as a catalyst for building strong bonds and fostering a sense of belonging within the dance community. By bringing together dancers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where mutual respect, collaboration, and camaraderie thrive. By aligning our festival with important social causes and leveraging our platform to raise awareness and funds, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities in need. Our charity is dedicated to using dance as a force for positive change. Section D Achievements and performance

We had an amazing 500 entries in the first year. This was spread over 10 Summary of the main local dance schools. 150 performers came to the event in February 2025 achievements of the charity half term. We had really positive feedback about the organisation, the during the year volunteers and the positive atmosphere from the dance schools, parents and adjudicator.

Dover Stage Festival is a very small charity that wants to hold reserves to Brief statement of the ensure sustainability, enabling us to continue delivering the festival charity’s policy on reserves during periods of financial uncertainty.

The Board will review this annually, with a target of maintaining a small buffer for operating costs.
