Objectives and Activities
Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document The object of My Zero Carbon Climate Action is:
For the public benefit, to advance the education of the public on climate change to mitigate the impact and effects of climate change through the creation, development and publication of interactive social media-based campaigns to increase the public understanding of climate change, motivate and enable the public to take climate action, reduce climate anxiety and to tackle disinformation and misinformation on climate change and its impact.

We procured third-party content and produced content for sharing on Social Media (Twitter, Bluesky Social, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok). We shared content on how to take practical Climate Action as well as educational material on a broad range of aspects of Climate Change Content covered: renewable energy; nature-based climate solutions; what is climate change; Climate Change myth busters; sustainable development; Electric Vehicles; heat pumps; stories about inspiring individuals, groups and projects; science papers; updates on national and international climate policy; events, conferences and training courses; education and training material). We produced a video on Climate Anxiety.
Public benefit
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
Contribution made by volunteers
In 2024/25, the trustees were the only volunteers of the charity. They fulfilled their duties as trustees as well as overseeing the operational activity of the charity. We estimate the contribution to be approximately 1,200 hours in the financial year 2024/25 (and about 900 hours since the creation of the charity in July 2024)

With the charity just being formed in July 2024 and without significant funding, we did not consider it wise to set performance or fundraising objectives.
Financial Review
Balance at end of period £151. Income £150. Expenses £0
We do not hold any reserves. At current income levels, all income is invested in delivery (e.g. web domain, web hosting & software licences). We will continue our fundraising efforts in 2025/26 and hope to build up a reserve and employ staff.

We created a fundraising database and have developed a strategy for fundraising in 2025/26. We have started fundraising bids, but have not yet heard back from any successful bids
