## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

Telford Music Trust is a registered charity established for charitable purposes relating to the advancement and support of music and music education. 

The charity is governed by its governing document and managed by the Board of Trustees, who are responsible for overseeing the charity's activities and ensuring compliance with its charitable objectives and legal obligations. 

Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the governing document and are responsible for the strategic direction and management of the charity. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

## **Objects of the Charity** 

The charity's object is to promote and support participation in musical activities and opportunities for the benefit of the community. 

## **Public Benefit** 



The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's aims, objectives and activities. 

## **Activities During the Year** 

During the period ended 1 May 2025, the charity did not undertake any charitable activities, projects, fundraising events or grant-making activities. 

The trustees continued to maintain the charity and review its future direction and opportunities to further its charitable purposes. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

The charity did not carry out operational activities during the reporting period. 

Consequently, there were no charitable programmes delivered, beneficiaries reached, grants awarded or fundraising activities undertaken during the year. 

The trustees continued to monitor the charity's position and considered opportunities for future activity consistent with the charity's objectives. 

## **Financial Review** 

## **Financial Position** 

The charity received no income during the reporting period ended 1 May 2025. 

The charity incurred no expenditure during the reporting period ended 1 May 2025. 

As a result, there was neither a surplus nor a deficit for the year. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

Given the absence of financial transactions during the year, the charity did not hold reserves as at 1 May 2025. 

## **Financial Risk** 

The trustees consider the charity's financial risk exposure to be minimal due to the absence of trading activity, income and expenditure during the reporting period. 

## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. 



The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records and for safeguarding the assets of the charity and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
