Structure, governance and management
Pride Wide Trust is a Foundation CI0.
The trust is governed by a Foundation Constitution.

During this period, we were establishing our governance in line with the guidance from the Charity Commission that we received while registering the charity. However, the constitution and policies on conflicts of interest were in place.
Purpose of the charity
Pride Wide Trust was established to support the LGBTQIA+ community.
The object of Pride Wide Trust is for the public benefit to promote equality and diversity, for the public benefit, by: 3.1 the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of gender reassignment, sex and sexual orientation; 3.2 advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity; 3.3 promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds; 3.4 conducting or commissioning research on equality and diversity issues and publishing the results to the public; and 3.5 cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity.

Activities
Pride Wide Trust received charity status from the Charity Commission on 28 June 2024.
For the remainder of the financial year, until 31 December, we were unable to do major activities due to the challenges of raising funds as a first year charity. However, we were able to provide informal, ad hoc strategic advice on communications to LGBTQIA+ human rights campaigners. We also held dinners for key future supporters and stakeholders at the House of Lords and Melia Hotel. In both cases, those were fully funded by others, so weren’t a draw on charity funds.
Meanwhile we focused on building the movement of supporters and volunteers who will support Pride Wide in the future and on planning for activities in 2025, including our first annual summit and stakeholder engagement events. We continued to consult with stakeholders about how best to support the LGBTQIA+ community in line with our charitable objectives.
