Trustees, Report for Bunny Angels UK CIO
For the year ended 31" January 2025
The Trustees are pleased to present their annual report together with the financial
stalements of Bunny Angels CIO for the year ended 31" January 2025. The report has been
prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011, the CIO'S constitution, and applicable
accounting standards.
ObjectlV0s and Actlvlties
Bunny Angels CIO exists to support the welfare. rescue. rehabilitation, and rehoming of
domestic rabbits across the UK. Our core aims are..
To rescue rabbits from neglect, abandonment, or unsafe environments.
To provide veterinary care, rehabilitation, and safe foster placements.
To work collaboratively within the wider rescue community to secure sanctuary and
forev8r homes for vulnerable rabbits.
To promole high standards of rabbit welfare through education and publi¢
awareness.
Our actNities this year focused on rescue coordination, emergency intake support, funding
vital veterinary treatment, and partnership5 Wlth other rescues to maximise th8 number of
rabbits we could assist,
Achievements and Perfomiance
This year saw continued growth in demand for our seNI￿S. We were approached to assist
with approximately five times the number of rabbits we were ultimately able to help,
demonstrating the severe and ongoing crisis in rabbit welfare across the UK. Despite these
pressures, our small team and strong community partnerships made a significant positive
impact.
Rescue and Rehoming
With the support of our trusted rescue partners. we successfully helped 351 rabbits
into forever homes or sanctuary placements.
We strengthened our networks within the wider rescue community, enabling
improved collaboration, shared resources, and better outcomes for high-risk rabbits.
Although demand far exceeded capacily, we prioritised the most urgent cas8S,
ensuring that those we did help received appropriate veterinary care and safe
onward placement.
Veterinary Care
The number of unwell, neglected, or medically complex rabbits contlnues to rise.
Veterinary costs totalled £29.627, reflecting th8 Severity and voSume of rabbits
requiring urgenl or specialist treatment.

Increasing illness rates highlight the welfare cha118ng8s nationally and th8 need for
sustained funding to meet veterinary demands.
Education and Outreach
We continued to promote best rabbrt care practices through our online plalforms and
collaborations with rabbit welfare advocates.
Awareness efforts helped ensure more informed adoptèrs, better long-t8m
outcomes, and greater community engagement.

Assets held under finance leases are initially recognised as assets of the charity at their fair value at the
