## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

Caring Souls Foundation is governed by a constitution. The trustees are responsible for the charity’s management and meet as required to review activities and finances. The charity had no paid staff during the year and was run by volunteers. 

## **Objects** 

The charity’s objects are to support children, young people and vulnerable adults in the UK through practical assistance, education, wellbeing support and community outreach for the public benefit. 

## **Activities and Public Benefit** 

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. During the year, the charity carried out the following activities to further its charitable objects: 

- Community outreach providing food and clothing to people experiencing financial hardship and homelessness 

- Mentoring, wellbeing support and informal educational activities for children and young people 

- Counselling and emotional support, with signposting to other services where appropriate 

- Working with local charities and community groups to improve access to support 

- Any spiritual or pastoral support offered was optional and not a condition of receiving assistance. 

## **Financial Review** 

The charity’s total income for the year was £2,000, received from voluntary donations. Expenditure was limited to essential charitable activity and administration costs. All funds were unrestricted. Although, the charity ended the year with a negative balance, the trustees believe the charity to be financially stable with future level of operation. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

Due to the small size of the charity, the trustees aim to maintain a modest reserve sufficient to cover basic costs and support planned charitable activities. 



## **Plans for Future Periods** 

The charity intends to continue its outreach and support activities and to build partnerships with local organisations, subject to available funding.
