## Objectives for the year 

- To preserve and operate the steam tugboat Challenge 

- To purchase the steam tugboat Portwey 

- To repair Portwey's port side hull 

- To preserve and operate the steam tugboat Portwey 

- To open our vessels to the public when possible 

- To educate members of the public on our vessels, their history and engineering. 

- To prepare Challenge for Dunkirk 85 

- To overhaul Challenges condenser 

## Activity 

In the last 10 months since the establishment of the Trustees we have successfully Carried out preservation work on both Challenge and Portwey, opened Challenge to visitors in September and have maintained our core team of volunteers as well as recruiting new ones. 

The trustees have met regularly and worked on plans for public engagement and how the trust will be run. We have set up gift aid and are looking into purchasing a gazebo for use at events. 

The Steamboat Trust has no paid employees. We extend our grateful thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who contribute to our achievements.

- Opened Challenge to the public at Queenborough Classic Boat Festival 

- Overhauled Challenge’s condenser 

- Opened negotiation with Swansea Council about steam tugboat Canning
