Built In 1931 And Which Participated In The Evacuation From Dunkirk In 1940, Being The Last Working Example Of A Large Purpose-Built, Thames Ship-Handling Steam Tug And One Of Only Three Surviving Steam Vessels Left Of The Many Which Were Once In Use On The River Thames. To Maintain The Engineering And Seafaring Skills Of The Past By Restoring And Operating The Boat And To Preserve And Display Her For The Public Benefit And Education Of All, By Sailing In Thames, UK And European Waters Where And Whenever Possible.to Preserve, Protect, Restore And Maintain For The Public Benefit Other Historic Vessels That May Become Available Such As Steam Tug Boat 'portwey'.
