Trustees’ Report for the period 6 June 2024 – 31 December 2024
The Trustees present their report for the period 6[th] June 2024 to 31[st] December 2024 for the newly incorporated RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch CIO, registered charity number 1208564.
This short initial period covered the establishment and registration of the CIO. During this time, the charity had not yet commenced trading or transferred any assets, income, or expenditure from the previous unincorporated branch (charity number 225575). Accordingly, there were no financial transactions, staff, volunteers, or charitable activities to report within this period.
The object of the CIO remains consistent with the former branch: to promote the work and objectives of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals within the Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford area, using all lawful means to prevent cruelty, promote kindness to, and alleviate the suffering of animals.
Operational activity and all assets of the former branch will transfer to the CIO with effect from 1[st] April 2025, from which point the new incorporated charity will carry out all charitable functions on behalf of the Branch area.
The Trustees confirm that the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charity’s governing document, the Charities Act 2011, FRS 102, and the Charities SORP.
