hard work of its volunteers, who are central
to the delivery of our charitable activities.
Throughout the year, a committed team of
volunteers have contributed their time,
skills, and energy to support the club’s
operations. The coaches have delivered
265 hours resulting in our girls and women
completing 5419 hours of wellness &
fitness coaching. This includes coaching
teams across various age groups,
organising fixtures and tournaments,
maintaining facilities, running fundraising
events, providing administrative support,

football in a welcoming environment
These sessions support the club’s core
mission to offer accessible sporting
opportunities for women and girls in

The Chair has actively contributed to
broader inclusion in football. Robert
Wilson spoke at the Clwb PAWB
Summit, focusing on creating an
inclusive grassroots environment and
championing diversity and belonging in
Welsh football
The club launched a local sponsorship
initiative, offering sponsorship opportunities
to local businesses We have received
sponsorship and support from local

The club won the FAW’s Community Club
of the Year for excellence in grassroots
football, highlighting strong community
engagement and development.
The club have been successful on the field

Hawarden Park Ladies and Girls Football
Club continue to make significant progress
in advancing sporting opportunities—
particularly association football—for women
and girls, with a special focus on Hawarden
and surrounding areas in Flintshire. We
also maintained a strong commitment to
removing financial barriers to participation
in sport.
1. Offering Sporting Opportunity to Women
and Girls in Hawarden and Flintshire
•
We provided structured football
programmes for 57 women and girls
across multiple age groups, ranging
from 8 years to senior players. Our
teams participated in local leagues
and friendly competitions,
enhancing skill development,
teamwork, and enjoyment.

Weekly training sessions and match
opportunities were delivered by
qualified volunteer coaches in
accordance with FA standards,
creating a safe and inclusive
environment for new and returning
players alike.
•
We successfully launched a new
women’s group who have been
playing recreationally soon to move
to a league helping to broaden

barrier to sport, we maintained our

financial hardship.

benefited from either reduced
membership fees, free kit, or other
forms of assistance funded through
a mix of club fundraising, grants,
and donations.

We established clear, confidential
processes for families to request
support, and continued to seek
external funding to sustain and
expand this provision in the future.
