The camp was free of charge. with all kit and aquipmenL and food provided, addressing barriers to sports participation. Achievements and Perforniance In September 2024. Y delivered in-school hockey sessions to girfs in 4 primary schools in Tower Hamlets. London, reaching 165 girls aged 8-10. The schools were selected on the basis thal th8ir pupil premium levels wre higher than the national average, thereby increasing the opportunity for us to reach girts from low socio*conofflic backgrounds, who generally have less access to sport. The gids were very exated to have their own space and their own female coaches for school sporL Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. 1.20 We have developed trusted relationships with the schools. who are keen for us to reknm and deliver more sporL In October 2024, we ran a 1-day gids-only sports camp in Tower Hamlets. 34 girfs aged &10 attended. and enjoyed 5 hours of activity. induding football and hockey sessions, and a fun tug-of-war. As this was our first 'piloY camp. we had to restrict numbers. but had a waiting list showing that demand is there for gIrlSnlY sports experieniw. Additionally, gids that had not pre-registered tumed up on the day. and W8re allowed to join in. The camp was free of tharge, with all krt and equipment, and food provided. addressing barriers to sports participation. Coaching at Camp was led by an all-female coaching tearn, including inspirational female athletes. We included a 'Talk Time, elemenc to allow the girfs to talk about their experiences and feelings around swjrt, and to ask queslions of the female athletes. We additionally cr)Ilected data using questionnaires, for parents and children, to inform ftjture our operations. We have developed partnerships with local sports dubs to off8r continued participation for girls after camp. 2 gids went on to join hcthy dub as a result of their experien at camp. This club experience was a first for the girls and the family. and through this the girfs have increased their levels of physical aGtFVity. improved their technical skills. as well as being welcomed into dub environment. Financial Review Review of the charitys financial position at the end of the period Ptyra 1.21 The charity g8n8rat8d a positsv8 financial income for the period with a net increase in funds of£22.111. and closing with a bank balance of £20,119. Much of the income was generated by major donations from Grace O'malley Kumar Foundation and the Changemakers Community Fund.
