## **The Shrewsbury Steam Trust Annual Report 2025** 

It has been another difficult year for the Shrewsbury Steam Trust. 

We are still awaiting finalisation of the lease with Shropshire Council which will allow us to open to the public again. 

In the interim, significant funds have been spent on purchasing new steam pipework and fittings as the original pipework was no longer safely operational. 

Volunteers have continued to support us despite the slow progress in obtaining the lease, and we are thankful for this. 

Drop-in visitors have been accommodated by showing them the pumping station machinery and explaining its history. We look forward to having the lease signed and being open to the public, demonstrating the engines operating under steam once more.
