## TIDE Community

## Annual Report 2024-2025

## Introduction

TIDE Community is dedicated to developing a more diverse and inclusive generation of leaders and skilled workers in the Transition to Net Zero to combat global warming and climate change. We emphasize inclusion to ensure the under-privileged and under-represented, such as the BAME community, have life-long opportunities in this rapidly growing sector. We will do this by providing a support network and the holistic and technical skills needed to thrive in this sector. We aim, in collaboration with like-minded organizations, to prepare school children for careers in the Transition by raising money from industry and government to fund and empower hundreds of disadvantaged students each year in Transition-related subjects and leadership skills, up to and including university level.

Our ideal outcome would be for:

- all communities to have fair access to STEM professions in the booming green sector economy

- the lucrative pipeline of STEM junior professionals into tackling climate change representing all our communities.

## Key Achievements this year

## Network Development

We continue to engage widely with educationalists, lawyers, institutes, government, schools, universities, social mobility giants, STEM and outreach organizations.

We have grown a network for ourselves and others via running three network meetings this year, attending various public events and maintaining a web site ( www.tide.community ) and Linkedin page (TIDE LinkedIn Group )
