provide liberation through cycling. This
encompasses addressing various societal
issues by promoting cycling as a means of
independence, skill development, and
community engagement. Our overarching goal
is to empower individuals and foster positive
change through sustainable and accessible
cycling initiatives.|

1.19|During the reporting period, The Liberation
Cycle focused on several key activities to
achieve its objectives:
**Bike Refurbishment and Distribution:**We
continued our program of collecting donated
bicycles, refurbishing them to a high standard,
and distributing them to individuals in need,
fostering independence and mobility. This often
includes providing bikes to those facing
financial hardship, new refugees and asylum
seekers, and individuals seeking to improve
their physical and mental well-being.
**Community Workshops and Skill Sharing:**
We operated community workshops that
provided a space for individuals to learn bike
maintenance skills, build confidence, and
connect with others. These workshops served
as vital hubs for skill-sharing, peer support,
and communitybuilding,directlycontributingto|
|||our beneficiaries' independence and
self-sufficiency.
**Advocacy and Awareness:**We continued to
advocate for the benefits of cycling as a
sustainable mode of transport and a tool for
social inclusion and individual empowerment.
We raised awareness about the environmental,
health, and economic advantages of cycling,
encouraging wider participation and support for
cycling initiatives.|

for The Liberation Cycle. We have continued

our beneficiaries and contribute positively to

Empowering Individuals through Mobility: We
successfully refurbished and distributed**148**
bicycles to individuals, enabling them to
access employment, education, healthcare,
and social opportunities. This direct provision
of mobility has had a profound impact on
their independence and quality of life.
Skill Development and Community
Engagement: Our community workshops
provided valuable bike maintenance skills
and fostered community connections.
Community Building and Social Inclusion:
The workshops served as vibrant community
hubs, fostering connections and reducing
social isolation. Beneficiaries and volunteers
alike reported a strong sense of belonging
and mutual support, contributing to stronger,
more inclusive communities.
Environmental Impact: By refurbishing and
re-using bicycles, we actively contributed to
waste reduction and promoted sustainable
transportation, lessening our collective
environmental footprint.|
