Structure, governance and management

Reprezent CIO is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. It is governed by its constitution dated 29/05/2024 and any subsequent amendments notified to the Charity Commission.

Trustee appointment and induction

Trustees are appointed in accordance with the charity’s constitution. New trustees receive an induction covering the charity’s objects, governance responsibilities, safeguarding, and key policies. Trustees are encouraged to undertake relevant training on charity governance and the management of charitable funds.

Risk management

Trustees regularly review the major risks to which the charity is exposed and take reasonable steps to mitigate those risks. During the year, the charity’s activity was limited, with no delivery or operations; the primary risks related to governance compliance and the safe stewardship of donated charitable funds.

Objectives and activities

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aims and objectives.

Charitable objects

The charity’s objects are set out in its constitution. The object of the CIO is: The advancement of education and training for the public benefit of young people in London and the wider United Kingdom in all aspects of radio broadcast, music, media and content creation, and in core personal development and employability skills.

Activities in the year

During the year, there was no delivery activity and no charitable expenditure. The charity’s only financial transaction was the receipt of a donation to support future charitable purposes.

Achievements and performance

Given the charity’s limited activity during the year, there were no operational programme outputs or outcomes to report. Trustees focused on maintaining compliant governance and preparing to support future charitable delivery.

Plans for the next financial year

In the next financial year, trustees intend to progress from a holding/establishment phase into active support of charitable delivery, including:

Financial review

Income and expenditure

Total income for the year was £4,660 (donation).

Total expenditure for the year was £0.

The charity held funds of £4,660 at the year end.

Funds were held as unrestricted.

Reserves policy

Given the charity’s early-stage position and limited transactions, the trustees have retained the year-end funds to support planned charitable delivery. The trustees will keep the reserves position and policy under review as activity increases.

Going concern

The trustees believe the charity remains a going concern. As delivery commences, trustees will continue to review cash flow and funding commitments to ensure the charity can meet its obligations.

Statement of trustees’ responsibilities

The trustees are responsible for preparing the trustees’ annual report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and UK accounting requirements. The trustees are required to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity’s financial activities and financial position at the end of the year.
